I saw a post regarding this but I can't find it (if you can please direct me).
I have a Maitre D' & DOC (no bridal attendant) and I am not sure how to tip them. With a DOC I feel some of the work will be taken away from the Maitre D'. How are you tipping for those of you in this situation?
FYI My guests list is 116 (including Me & FH)

Maitre D should be tipped between $3-$5 per guest.
The Maitre D runs the wedding. They would be in charge of the staff and directing you around the hall. If you do drop anything off at the hall, they would be the person making sure it gets done correctly.
I would also suggest that you ask your DOC about tipping the Maitre D.

When I spoke with our banquet manager at the RH, she said the suggested tip is $3-$5pp for the Maitre D. If you feel like the DOC is taking some of the work off of the Maitre D, maybe just plan to tip on the lower end of the spectrum and give more if s/he blows you away with great service?

I spoke to my RH yesterday and the owner told me only $2-$3 per person because they take care of them. That puts me under budget and made me so happy!!
