where are you getting married and is that the 20% or is that what they recommend for the maitre d' cause thats alot unless your having alot of people
well it was based on about $6/pp
Is that for the Maitre D and Bridal Attendant combined?
We were told $3-4 for the Maitre D and 1-2 for the Bridal Attendant.
Nope ... BA's are $50 each

my RH told me to give $3 per guest in cash to the banquet manager.. no other tipping business.. because they will be distributing the $$.. i found that weird..
Yeah that's what I don't get ... what's the 20% charge for then???

Re: Maitre d tip
maybe.. just maybe the 3 is part of the 'tip' and the rest maybe as part of their regular pay? i don't know.. i'm thinking of ways to justify this..

they way I know it is the service fee is bascially what pays the staff their hourly rate, covers any basic costs for them as far as management salaries, overhead such as electric bills, etc. I know it ***** but honestly its how these places can keep the cost down on food... I mean think how much a gallon of milk costs now? or gas? everyone is feeling this recenssion
