This! In our booklet from the venue it has the 3-5pp recommendation too. I plan to prep the envelope with $4pp and I will happily add to it If I feel like the MD went above and beyond for me.

Our wedding planner suggested $5-$7 p/p which I thought was a little high.

i honestly feel like it varies based on your guest count. for instance, if you're having 300 people at your wedding, I would tip like $3pp... but if you're having 75 people, i'd tip $5pp

our venue told me MD's tip is usually $150-200 and the wait staff is about $5pp. tips are not included in my price. i'm having 80-90 people.

I know my BM at Bridgeview wrote something down about a $2pp Maitre D fee which im assuming doesn't cover the gratuity. Since that's already included, i might only do a $500 tip (we'll probably end up with 175-200 people). I hope that doesn't make us cheapskates!

do you mean banquet manager? not the same person and you don't tip the banquet manager.

ETA...now i dont know. lol my maitre'd just emailed me and her signature said banquet manager!
