Make-up Artist Recommendations??

Jacqueline Nicole is booked for my date so I need help finding a make-up artist. I've called Fairy Tale Makeovers and Jillian, and have yet to get a call back. I'm off for a couple of days so I wanted to go for some trials since I don't live on LI and this is really the only time I can go except for weekends. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Re: Make-up Artist Recommendations??

The person doing my make up was highly recommended to me. Her name is Lisa St Onge. She is in the Cactus Salon of Plainview:
Phone~~516-938-FACE. I was very happy w/my trial - she gave me a very natural look - not too much make up. She'll travel, too. Good luck with your search!!

Re: Make-up Artist Recommendations??

this might sound a little scary...but have you considered BOCES? and students in the cosmatology program?

I paid $85 for 3 people to have their make-up done in 2 hours...and it was so heavy and in the beginning pictures...I hate it (one of my BMs...helped me smooth some of it out...so later pictures are ok)

my sister on the other hand...asked one of her students that was attending BOCES and she did 5 people in 2 hours...and told my sister she would do it for free, but we gave her $50 each (for 17...I'm sure she was psyched)

I think you can go to a BOCES center and ask for a trial (I know they need to 'practice') so you could see if you like it...

The girl that my sister used was Rochelle from East Meadow

Re: Make-up Artist Recommendations??

I'm using Jillian from Gorgeous Faces. I had a few trials from different places and I loved the way she did my makeup! She will do whatever you want!

Re: Make-up Artist Recommendations??

I used a woman Marie from Wild Rose recommended. She works at the Lancome counter in Roosevelt field. She doesn't do airbrushing but I think she did a great job on giving me a natural look. Email me if you want her info.

I used Jackie from Imakeup you - advertised on the board. She was EXCELLENT!! She charges $30 for a trial and $100 for the day of - but takes the $30 off so it only costs $70 on the day of. Everyone raved about her. She did a great job, it looked very natural!
