Make-Up & Hair Trials

Hey Girls!

Is it customary to tip a m/u artist and hair stylist at your trial? Obviously you would tip in a salon enviorment but do you tip when you go to their home or they go to yours????

I did not tip, just because the vendors I used have their own business and I paid enough for the trial.

If I was going to a salon or something, I would probably do it.

I did tip, but after I was wondering whether I should have or not. Good point though girls. Because all the money goes to the vendor herself, right?

Yeah they get 100% of it since it's their own business. In a salon, they have to pay the 'house' so the money is really not going to them

I did tip for a MU trial as i know she doesn't do it full time.....

if they are an owner and do it full time no tip needed.

I tipped for my hair trial and I plan on tipping my makeup person as well

I had all intentions of tipping... but we were chatting so much... I TOTALLY FORGOT to give it to her, and I had it in my hand!!!

Wanna here how much more of a dits I am... it was the middle of FEB and I even forgot my COAT at the salon... I went back with the tip to get my coat and she had already left

I will make up for it on the day of...
