Make-up/Hair trial question

Do I tip at my make-up trial? Just curious

also .. and most important ...

My future cousin in law (who does my coloring) is doing my hair for the wedding. She refuses to let me pay her for the trial or wedding day hair (I am trying to fight her on this). In case she won't budge, I want to get her an American Express gift card in the amount she would have been paid .. its the least I can do. What does a typical hair trial/tip and wedding day hair/tip cost?

I only $10.00 because 100% the job i should be, but day of would be a lot more.

If you get her a gift card, that is a nice gesture, but I think she is trying to save you money.


She might be insulted if you try to pay for the whole thing!
