Makeup trials

When did you have it done? I wanted to wait until June 1 year before my wedding bc my skin gets very tan and I of course will be outside getting tan for the bigday. But I'm afaird if I wait the people I want to book w will be taken.
So when u had ur trial done - will your skin be a different shade?
Any advice- suggestions- regrets u had?

Re: Makeup trials

I went for my make up trial February and I am getting married in September, so it was more than 6 months before. I, like you, didn't want her to be booked for my date!

I addressed the tan issue with her (that I would be darker for the wedding), and she told me not to worry, that anything could be tweaked color wise.

You could always hitting the tanning parlor a few times before going in for the trial as well.

HTH!

Re: Makeup trials

I booked mine more than a year in advance and I've been tanning recently to get darker instead of the pale white I was. she's doing my makeup for my shower next month so I can see what I look like tan with my bridal makeup. I mean tanning shouldn't be a problem you'll just look darker/more of a glow.

if you have a popular time of year I wouldn't wait too long. I was doing hair trials recently and though I'm in January a few girls were already booked my date and I still have 9 months! maybe hair is different though then makeup.

Makeup trials

I made my trial for May of this year. I have two trials set up so I can see which one I liked better. I know they book up quick for the summer months so I would book a trial soon so you can secure your wedding date if you like them. I made an appointment with glam me up and at your service.

Makeup trials

As a makeup artist myself, I can offer you the advice of at least inquiring with a makeup artist as early as you want to find out pricing and details about what they have to offer you plus their availability. As far as doing your trial during the 'season' or time of your wedding I can let you know that doesn't matter AT ALL. Every makeup artist should be able to change your base color if you are more or less tan on the day of your wedding. In fact I write down the color I use on my brides but I would say at least 80% of the time I do something else bc they've gone tanning.

Hope that helps!
