WOuld you eat mako fish if it was a choice on a wedding menu?
OK, now if you don't know what mako is it is shark. WOuld you still eat it? WOuld you eat it without knowing what it is?
The other choices are beef and chicken, but we're wondering about the mako.
TIA!

too exotic for most people...I wouldn't think many people would order it.

Re: Mako
I do not think a wedding is the time to experiement with new food, if you dont like it it will ruin the whole affair...I doubt many people have had shark and I doubt many will choose it as an option
I think you should make the third option a vegetarian dish, I found alot of people are eating healthier and some for other reasons just prefer vegetarian, it was a big hit at my sisters wedding.....

Re: Mako
Thanks, this helps. We also have the veggie option(thats the 4th choice). I kinda feel the same way about the mako, although we ate it and it is delciious (tastes like chicken:)).
Thanks!

nope I would respond well to salmon, mahi mahi, red snapper, sole, and maybe tuna... (still dieting, still starving! )

Re: Mako
I wouldn't order it, I always order something that I know will agree w/my stomach because I wouldn't want to be sick for the rest of the wedding.

Re: Mako
I think you'd be surprised... as bad as it may sound - some people may try it, simply because they themselves aren't paying for it... and theres so much food at weddings, between teh cocktail hour and everything that maybe they'd take this as an opportunity to try something new, and if they like it - great, if not.. they didn't 'waste' $$ on something they didn't like. jmo

Re: Mako
people probably wouldn't order it because if they didn't like it they wouldn't eat.
if that's what you're offering instead of chicken, i don't think it's a good idea. a lot of people don't eat red meat and would have nothing to eat if there wasn't a chicken option. IMO, there should always be a meat, chicken, fish and veggie option--as well as others if you can.

Re: Mako
I wouldn't. I would rather have salmon or sea bass.
