Mani/Pedi for fh??

FH is looking forward to his mani/pedi the day before the wedding!

my fh is metro but he wont do this i might bring it up and see if he'll do it for the wedding maybe, if not ill do his mani myself

there should be a salon just for guys hahaha

there is... somewhere on the west side - Nickel day spa is men only. I almost got FH a GC there but we went to Bliss instead.

hmmm i wonder if he'd go for that hahaha...My fh is weird, he is such a mix of metro and manly lol. He loves clothes and into fashion but other things he is too macho about. He plays sports and is always the filthiest one lol, he fixes things himself such as cars, will do electrical for others and everything else. I mentioned him getting a mani bc i HATE the way he cuts his own nails lol and he is always biting his cuticles but he said he would never go to work with his hands all done lol like everybody is going to notice if they are cut properly and cuticles cut thats all it really is W** not like hes getting paint on it He has let me do it before but most of the time he has no patience but maybe now he'll just let me cut them so theyre STRAIGHT and not really really short lol and just get rid of the cuticles. I HATE when he bites his cuticles, it drives me nuts, i cant sit next to somebody who is always doing it

My FH loves it!! I dragged him and now he asks me when are we going?? LOL!!

Now i got my brother into them too!! And he is def not the type. He is very macho, 13 tattoos, fav color is black, rides his bikes, but after going once he is hooked!

ok well FH used to work at Elizabeth Arden. His mom is a Manager there and she got him the job when he was 14. He worked there until up to when he left for the Marines at age 17/18. haha

He worked as a cleaning kid doing the towels etc. Then got into it so much he became the front desk person and stepped in as Head Manager of the whole salon when she was out because hse trusted a 16-17 yr old more than some of her other employees!! haha

so he has had massages, pedi, manis, facials waxing of the eyebrows haha.

but he hasnt had them in awhile since he doesnt work there anymore. but he said when he gets back from Iraq he will go get one.

see this is what i dont get, i think fh has had a facial, he doesnt get his eyebrows waxed bc they are naturally like that meanwhile im here every 2 weeks having to do it, its not fair lol. He will go to a salon to get his hair cut, but also goes to barbers for the shape up, but has gotten colored at a salon. But a mani is a big deal

im going to show him this thread maybe it will convince him

yes! im making him get at least a mani...cuz our hands will be in a bunch of pics and i want them to look nice

at the spa in the bahamas we both got mani/pedis... it was our first vacay together and i was VERY surprised... but he's a little metro too - like he'll tell me what to wear sometimes and is always cutting cuticles and trimming hairs.

I don't think he thinks it's feminine or not macho. Even my bro in law, who is the most macho guy i know - big guy who works in construction - likes getting manis now and then.

My FH had never got one, but before we went on one of our first vacations together I persuaded him. My speech went something like this,

'It is like getting a haircut. You would not pull out the scissors and chop away at your own hair, would you? No, you have a professional do it. Getting your nails tended to is the same kind of thing. It is proper grooming. All they do is cut them and shape them and cut your cuticles. They are not going to put on nail polish or anything. What is the big deal? There will probably be other men there. When I go I see men all the time getting their nails done...'

It worked and he liked it. P.S. While we were there there was another guy getting his nails done.

yeah fh is like that too and its annoying when he comes shopping with me bc he tells me whats in, what colors and everything to match lol. He does go to a salon to get his hair done, has gotten facials, i dont know what the problem is with a mani hahaha. Just about everything he is worst than i am. I think he just thinks about his job though lol and that its all guys and what they'd think and also that they would get ruined within a day so probably thats why, he comes home with his hands black sometimes
