Maria D'Leon

Original post by emomma17

I've seen a few brides on here who have used Maria or Nelson D'Leon for their wedding. Does anyone know the price range of their work. Some people have said it is expensive but I can't help but lovee the pictures i've seen and want to book a trial with them. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it! Thanks ladies....and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I had 4 other trials, NO ONE could get me the look I wanted except Maria D'Leon.

People say 'it's crazy' to spend that much on your hair, but I personally thought it was crazy to pay $135 per person on the catering - each bride needs to prioritize what THEY feel are the most important things to them for THEIR weddings. We all have a set dollar amount we can spend, but where we choose to put it is up to us. My DH and I paid for our wedding ourselves.

It was really important to me to look back at my pictures and feel I looked beautiful. My DH said to me after the wedding 'I will NEVER get the image of you walking down the aisle out of my head, you looked absolutely amazing.' I didn't feel anyone else could have done that... that's just my opinion, and where I chose to spend money out of my budget.

I really think she is the best. I do not regret for one second using her. I felt SO RELIEVED when I booked her and knew my hair would be perfect. I did not stress over this vendor or decision. I cut back on other things so I could have her. Most of the other things you won’t remember or care about after the day is done, but you’ll look at those pictures for the rest of your life, and I wanted to look back on them and think I looked as perfect as I could. She was worth EVERY PENNY.

This was my trial with hair extensions:

if youre comfortable with it then thats all that matters...i know alot of ppl had said my vendors are too much and i felt the same way you did...ive had my hair done NUMEROUS times for so many occasions and i always had a problem with how it came out, even when it was good, it wasn't perfect or exactly how i planned. Even the past weekend i dyed my hair and i was saying how i always go with knots in my stomach when getting my hair done bc of it not being how i envisioned it...when claudia did my hair, it was the ONLY time i walked out saying oMG its better than i even thought it would be. SO the aggrevation saved is worth it

there are some yes who don't feel comfortable so of course i suggest for ppl not to do what they are not comfortable with...if you are then perfect.

Your hair looked gorgeous and you were happy so thats all that matters

It is funny you replied, it was your picture that I brought to my girl and the hair that I fell in love with! She didn't do it at all like how I wanted it to be done, your pictures are out of this world! I wish I almost knew in advance what it would cost for everything as i've already booked most of my vendors and at this point there is no cutting back! the only thing left I really have to do are my invitations and the limos, also the honeymoon but I would have cut back on my dress and a few other things so I just can't in my head think to spend that much on my hair even though I am racking my brain to figure out how I could come up with that lol! We are also paying for our wedding on our own from head to toe! and the thought of putting that towards my hair scares me because I know we could put that towards inviting a few other people. For hair alone, without extensions what did she charge you?

Exactly, everyone needs to be comfortable with their decisions. It just bothers me when I see people say how 'crazy' it is to pay so much for hair, to me it's exactly as you said - the aggravation I saved was worth DOUBLE what I paid! I felt so relieved and so not stressed out after I booked, it was a huge relief.

I FMed you The funny thing is, we didn't have limos, that was one of the things we cut out I was actually laughing the whole way to the ceremony because I was driving myself, veil, makeup, big hair - I was wondering what the people in other cars must have thought!

Agreed, the quality always looks so much better from the d'Leon's and appears to hold up so well too, even for hair worn down, which is the most amazing thing.

If you have the $$$ why not...It is a major day in your life. If I had the $$$ I would have looked into them..My hair was very important for my wedding day

Haa that is great! Maybe that's what I will do! I am trying to think what I can cut out so I can pay for my hair!

emomma how did your trial with M I A go?

She was great but it just didn't pop out at me, i wasn't blown away by it. The extensions were really long i know they will be cut down but i kind of specified i didn't want the ringlet looking curl, like that piecy kind of curl and that is what I got. I almost felt like i didn't look like i had wedding hair more like i did my hair for a night out. She was fantastic I think I am just difficult. My make up was really nice yet again though I wanted more of the smokey browns and pinks and more of a natural look, i got the black smokey eyes and not the colors i was really looking for and I felt extremely done up and I don't wear a lot of make up. Also it was a little rushed feeling, the appointment was at 3 she was working on someone till 3:30 and then in the middle she had to do someone elses eyes that they booked and then they were closing up and she had one more appointment that they wanted to get in so it was like i couldn't sit and really play with it so i got frustrated. She was sweet and is an amazing artist I just am not sure it was for me.

Sorry you didn't have the best experience. Now I am little nervous. I have one on Saturday and I am not 100% on what I want and wanted to try a few things -- hope she has more time!

I am sure she will do a fantastic job! She is a sweetheart just I guess it wasn't right for me. I feel horrible about it.

Does anyone have the PEDALA SISTERS contact information? I saw the website but is only for Maureen...thanks!
