Fh and I are getting married in August. when is the best time to get our marriage license?
We lives in Queens, but getting married out on Long Island-do we need to get the license in Queens or In LI???

I'm not sure about where you have to go, but I know it is only good for 60 days

You can get anywhere in NY state...so Queens or LI...doesn't matter. It's only good for 60 days, so you can't get it until at least June.

You can pick up your license in Queens or LI...no set time before but check with the agency...there is a small waiting period.

We just got ours this Monday. We also live in Queens, but we went to LI for the license. It only took around 15 or 20 minutes. I have heard stories about people who go to the court house in any of the boroughs and it takes over an hour, sometimes all morning.

We used the one in Hempstead Long Island City Hall.
in and out in 10mins. QUICK!
I believe it was only good for 30days? Maybe it was 60? I don't know. We got ours on Oct 9th and got married on Oct 23 so we really didnt care.
