Do you have to get a marriage license in the town you are getting married? Are their any town halls that stay open later then 4:30?

You can get a NY marriage license anywhere. I went to another township. Mine was too 'demanding' and arrogant.

I live it Babylon but the hours were not accomodating for people who work past 3:30pm

Islip Town Hall is open until 6pm (I think - it may be later) only on Tuesdays. I would call first.
