marriage license?

marriage license?

I met my priest today and he said we have to get our marriage license 2 months prior. That is like in 2 days. I honesly have no idea where I have to go and what I have to do. Help!

You need to go to town hall. Is had to be within 60 days of your wedding date. Our wedding was July 3rd and we got our license on May 23rd. Get it in the middle of August. I don't know where you live, but we went to Islip Town Hall, I was able to download the app and bring it in. You both have to be there. It doesn't take long, we went first thing in the morning when they opened. Good Luck!

No worries He probably just meant that 2 months prior to your wedding day is the earliest that you can get it. As long as you obtain the license more than 24 hours before the actual ceremony it is totally valid

we went to the town hall in Massapequa we were in and out in 5 minutes just bring your photo ID and birth certificate sign the paper pay the $40 or something liek that and then you walk out! very quick and easy
