FH and I live in Rochester, NY but we are getting married in Bellmore, NY. Does anyone know if we can get our marriage license in Rochester? Or do you have to get it in the same county?

as long as its nystate - it doesnt matter where you get it. might want to get it in the county you're getting married in - this will probably save some time getting it back (only a week or so). otherwise, it doesnt matter.

Thank you! We'd love to get it in the county we're getting married in, but we live seven hours away and work full time, so it's tough to be on the island when the county clerks office is open! I'm pretty relieved we can get it up here in Roch!
