Marriage License Questions

How soon before the wedding do you need to go get this?

Where can you go?

What do you need to bring with you?

Thanks!

Re: Marriage License Questions

Well I can't answer your questions completely but I do know:
you can get it from 60 days before your wedding up till 2 days before.
You go to your town hall (if getting married in NY you can go to any town hall in NY)
You need photo id like a drivers license, also birth certificate, and money order for $40.
But I think every town hall is different so it might be good to call before you go.

Re: Marriage License Questions

You can go to any town hall you want to in NYS 2 months before the wedding or sooner.
You MUST bring a drivers license with you and a birth certificate with raised seal. If you bring a passport they will not give you your license.
Bring $40.00

I think so. That's what I plan to use. If not I'll be searching for the original!

Good luck!!!
