Marriage License Questions

Marriage License Questions

We are going friday for our License, anyone else applied for the license yet?????

this is what they require:
is it me or isnt a Passport the same as a Birth cert?

A person is required to establish proof of age and identity by submitting to the issuing clerk one of the following age related documents:

1.Birth Certificate
2.Baptismal record
3.Naturalization record
4.Census record
And one of the following identity related documents:

1.Driver's license
2.Passport
3.Employment picture ID
4.Immigration record

I brought my license and my birth cert and it was fine If you go early in the am, it takes 10 min!

Does the birth certificate or baptismal record have to be originals or can they be photocopies?

theyre not the same. one is proof of age one is identity its annoying lol. I brought in my passport hubby had license and we each had our birth certf

went today and it was all of 15 min. Brought my license and birth certificate and so did he. All have to be originals. went to hempstead town hall.

question on the topic of marriage license....

Is it valid for 30 or 60 days? We are getting married May 25th, when do you think a good time to go would be?

I just noticed in another thread you posted on that you went to Islip Town Hall. I am also from Islip and am going to ITH. Question, once inside where do I go??? lol. Is there a certain room or floor? TIA!
