Here is all the info.
Call the number and the recording will give you all the information. I don't believe a license given by the state of NY will work in Nassau. I think you may need both one from NY and one from Nassau. I think I remember reading that you get the license in the location you get married. Good luck. See below. Where to Go: Any borough office of the City Clerk of New York. (See the list below.) The license may be used anywhere in New York state. Who Should Go? Both the bride and groom-to-be need to apply in person. What to Bring: One of the following as proof of identification: an original or certified copy of your passport, driver's license or non-driver identification, military identification, a visa or green card. Knot Note:Clerks may refuse out-of-state non-driver IDs. If you're not a New York resident and don't have a valid driver's license, bring one of the other above-mentioned forms of ID. Fee: A money order payable to 'City Clerk of New York' for $30. No cash or personal checks are accepted. Waiting Period: The license is prepared while you wait. You may not be married until 24 hours after obtaining your license. Blood Test: None required. (Phew!) Expiration: The license is good for 60 days.
