Re: married girls? Anyone sad... when its all over...
Im not married yet...but im so over wedding planning. I have no interest in the day anymore. I just feel like its one day, no one really cares after. I went to so many weddings this year, big and small they were all great, none had the bells and whistles like is see in so many of the reviews online, but they were all fabulous, but once its over no one remembers anything.
I guess im just so consumed with our house being built, and all the things that are going into building a house from scratch. To me its so much more important then just one day, cause i will have it forever.
I know my hall has great food, i hired a 9 piece band, and i got the dress of my dreams, i really feel those are things people will remember

I actually shed a tear or 2 or 10 when I was taking my wedding dress off. It's funny now when I think of it but planning our wedding took up so much of my time for over 2 years. It's a bit hard now that it's over but I love when I get an FM asking about my vendor or a friend asks me where they can find something for their wedding. It still makes me feel in the loop!

I never expected to be depressed after my wedding, but I have been. The day went by so fast and was so stressful for me I did'nt enjoy it as much as I had hoped. And I honestly don't remember much of it.
I really miss being the bride and feeling special. I'm a bridesmaid in a friends wedding next year. I'm so happy and excited for her, but when we went to the shop to order our gowns I felt sick. It was hard to be the ex-bride.

lol... i put my wedding gown on the other day after I got home from work.
DH got a HUGH kick out of walking through the door to me washing dishes in my gown.
not ready for it to be preserved yet.

I was a little sad. I wish I could re-live the day of just one more time. That day was so much fun & I really loved it. However, I wouldn't want to do the planning again. One year of planning was enough for me & I was relieved when it was all over. I didn't have much sanity left by the day of the wedding from all of the planning!

not at all! So glad all the busy-ness is over and I can settle into a normal routine.
Same here! I was not 'happy' that it was over but I was so happy with the outcome of the wedding that I was content to have it come and go...
I truly enjoyed the day so much and went out of my way to make sure that, no matter what, I had the BEST time of my life. I also worked very hard to make it so the day did not go by 'in a flash' and it really didn't. I took time to ENJOY which made a huge difference.
I can understand why you are sad and I feel bad that you are because that's unfortunate-- but I'm sure, like most of the girls have said, that it will get better with time.
I was just lucky enough to not feel that sadness. We planned for a long, long time- maybe that is why? Also, it's nice to HAVE money for a change! Haha!
I could not have said it any better!

Re: married girls? Anyone sad... when its all over...
I feel like during the wedding planning- so many people tried to get the best of me, I learned the true colors of family and friends during this process and it saddens me to think just because of a diamond ring how many people can change....So - am I sad that the engagment part and planning is over no, certainly not.
I am not sad that the wedding part if over too...I am happy that I now can spend the rest of my life with the man of my dreams and who I adore with all that I am...

nope!!!! we had an AMAZING day, and i've honestly never had that much FUN in my life! I don't feel sad, never did... the whole point was to marry my husband, and I did that, which is SO much better than a day! i feel like there's so much to look forward to... why look backwards!

Re: married girls? Anyone sad... when its all over...
I was really sad for about a month after the wedding. I missed all the excitement and anticipation and yes even the planning. It was the best, most fun day of my entire life and I was sad it was over. But now I'm happy to have the memories and I'm happy to be married finally, so as time has passed since the wedding, I don't miss it as much anymore.
