Married ladies... did you get to church on time?

Married ladies... did you get to church on time?

Or a little earlier, little later...? I want to be on TIME but I'm not sure if this is just wishful thinking. My ceremony starts at 3 pm. It's supposed to last 1/2 hour and then we're going to go take pics somewhere. The sun is setting so early that I'm afraid we won't have much time before it turns dark.

We got to the church a little early. We were traveling from LI to Queens on a Saturday afternoon so we left a little earlier than usual in case of traffic - we just hung out in the limo for a little while before the wedding started lol

I was literally (not exaggerating) told by the people helping with our wedding not to be late about 10 times.

I hate being late and being rushed, so this was fine...I got there about 10 minutes before the ceremony started...I took some pics in the limo, finished my champagne ( ) and then went in. I would say it's better to be early, so nothing is rushed and you have more time for pictures--but if it can't be avoided, don't stress! I'm sure people are late often...it's a pretty big day to prep for

We were early - about 10-15 minutes early. Ceremony started right at 2pm on the dot!

I was early for once in my life. In fact, I had to wait in the party bus since the coach bus arrived late. But that was cool, my MOH, my SIL, and I sat on the bus and drank some champagne to calm our nerves and commented on people's outfits while we peeked out the windows.

My limo went to the wrong location, so I was late. Looking backing it, I should've put my sneakers on and walked there... It was a block and a half away from my parents home!!!

I didn't have the ceremony at the church, but my limo set me back awhile. I wanted to plan to arrive to the venue really early, but everyone kept calling me crazy! lol.

Better super early than even 15 minutes late!

nope. The limo came to my house on time but my BM's took forever. They all had overnight bags since the slept over the night before. The deacon made a crack about it during the ceremony.

The limo picked up the guys late bc the driver's GPS broke so she stopped at Target to get a new one Since I'm a nutjob, I added in extra time, so even with her little stop, we still made it to the church on time and I walked down the aisle at 3:03pm for a 3pm ceremony

We were told by the pastor that it is just plain RUDE to be late to your own wedding (the pastor's words exactly). I hate being late so it was okey dokey by me to be on time!

No I was a half hour late. My makeup ran longer than expected so I would recommend telling you hair and makeup person to arrive a bit earlier.

We were early so we waited at my house for a while so we weren't too early to the church.

I was just a bm in a friends wedding at we were a half hour late to the church, the ceremony went over by an hour, so we (including the guests that attended the ceremony) were late to the reception by an hour!

Ha! This post makes me laugh. My ceremony start time was 3:45p, kind of weird but I actually did it for a built-in 15 min delay. My photographer was about 20 mins late, which was not a big deal, but I guess it set us back a bit. She finally turned to me and was like it's 3:49, we should probably get going.

I started laughing because I'm definitely an on-time, even early, type of person. It was actually good I was delayed because my DOC told me that a lot of my guests were late so had we started on time, a lot of people wouldn't have been there and come in during the ceremony. Gotta laugh at all my Greek guests. We call that Greek time - a good 15-20 mins late to events, if not more.
