Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look

Original post by Espo22

I am curious to see if everybody was happy with their decisions. Such as hair, make up, shoes, DOJ, dress and etc. I guess since during the planning we all were confused about some things, torn between 2 ideas. COmfort of shoes over look of shoes for some, subtle make up or dramatic, hair up or hair down and the list goes on. But in the end, were you happy with what you choose or did you wish you would've gone another way.

Such as: doing hair up and not working out day of, or hair down. Doing subtle make up or dramatic and now seeing your pics thinking maybe should've gone another way. Maybe not listening to people and then realizing they were right, or listening to others and not going with what you had in mind and regretting it. Even dress, maybe thinking you should've picked something else.

I guess seeing all these new members and having the same questions we used to have about what would be better and everyone having a difference of opinion on what will be better for day of. Is there anything you would've changed, was there any advice you were given that you thought was wrong. One big one I see on here all the time is airbrush vs regular. On your wedding day were you happy with either decision. We're you happy with your hair?

I loved my Hair and makeup....i was really regretting towards the end going with such expensive make-up and hair artists, and everyone told me to cancel, BUT I am sooo happy I didn't listen to anyone because I loved the work the Pedala sisters did and my DH said that noone has ever done anything anywhere near how they made me look! I let the Pedala sisters do what they thought....the only thing I told them was how I wanted my hair and they worked their magic...no regrets whatsoever. I had airbrush and it lasted all night!

I loved my make up, and loved my hair up until the reception my curls didn't hold up...I should have carried a can of hairspray. I was also super upset that my dress kept on rising up (cause of the hoop skirt) which showed my feet. But I insisted on wearing the hoop skirt

i am curious, for you girls that hair didnt hold up and curls didnt hold up and fell early on. How was your hair done day of? was it curly iron or rollers was it a combo? I know my hair stylist said the best thing to do is curl it with an iron then you take each curl and pin it up for a bit and this will make the curl last longer.

My hair was curled with a curly iron. I left the salon at 10 a.m. and my ceremony was at 3 p.m. and my reception entrance at 8 p.m. Maybe too may hours inbetween? I don't recall super spraying my hair, so that may be the reason. But I loved loved it up until the reception...Don't know what happened.

no it should've stayed. I had my hair done at 10am, ceremony at 2:30pm, and ch started at 7:30pm and reception ended at 1:30am. It lasted, i even have pics in the hotel at 3am and it was still curly, well i woke up the next day and it was still curly.

I think she also used something in my hair that keeps it curly, its this thing you put through it. I remember she told me about it during the trial, i forgot what its called. Then at the end yeah hairspray was used

I know this may sound disgusting but my curls from the Pedala sisters trial lasted 4 days and I was sooo upset when I had to wash my hair b/c they looked amazing..

the curls were still there after the wedding too....but i got the newlywed chop at 10:00 a.m. the next morning so I don't know how long it would have lasted! loved loved loved the pedala sisters. they did such an amazing job...they are truly talented.

I was not exactly happy with the way I looked (I really hate to say that) but.....I was in a horrible car accident 3 days before my wedding day..and quite frankly I was extremely lucky to be alive....unfortunately I wish my skin was clearer..My skin is usually perfect..but the 1 day it wasn't was my wedding day I was achy and had marks all over my face from the airbag. I also wasn't sure about my hair...It looked great when I first got it done..but humidity took its toll and towards the end of the night..it looked so frizzy On a positive note I loved my makeup..oksana did a great job covering the marks from the accident and I loved how natural I looked at the same time! I also loved my dress...it was perfect in pictures! I just wish I would have taken it in more in the bust

I loved the way I looked on my wedding...it was exactly what I always wanted. AND I am so glad I did the airbrush makeup...it lasted all night despite Tropical Storm Hannah and all the humidity!

I do wish my shoes didnt hurt me so early in the evening though...

i was happy with the way my look came out. the only 2 things i would have changed is i would have picked up the back of my hair a little (the bottom got all tangled) and my airbrush makeup caked up...i loved my dress too, i was a little weary buying at davids bridal but i went to the one in lake grove and they were great to deal with, they even let my mom exchange her ress.

Re: Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look

I am very happy with my overall wedding day look. Like Snick'n nick said, I wanted to look like me and I definitely did. My sister did my makeup for me-we did a few trials and I think it came out best on the actual day. I loved my hair-it was exactly like my trial and I think it cost me $50 the day of. She 'got' the look I was going for and the curls stayed all day long so I can't complain. My doj I searched for months to find something because of the champagne color and detail of my dress. I spent less than $50 on doj-I was able to find champagne pearl earrings on e-bay and a matching necklace at Macy's. My dress I am still in love with! Right before my first fitting I was having doubts about my dress. I bought it and had it at my parents house for 10 months and I just forgot how awesome it was lol. Then I had my fitting and I fell in love with it again. My tiara was a splurge for me-I bought it when I bought my dress at David's and I felt like I should have shopped around a bit more but with the color of my dress it matched perfectly. I'm glad I got it when I did. I loved my veil too and I'm so glad I left it on all night. I love all the pics with it-even just dancing. I figured it would be something that I would take off if it was driving me nuts but I didn't even realize I had it on all night lol. I'm happy with my wedding day look even though its nothing like I thought I would end up with.

I was very happy with my hair and mu.....I also LOVED my headpiece so so much!!!

At my house getting ready and at church my mu was fine but when I got to Russo's, I got a little oily looking (which is SO not like me). Anyways....I didn't notice this until I got my proofs. There are a few pics where I was like 'GOD...someone should have blotted me!!!'

Here's a pic of my look.....

I was very happy with how I looked that day! Except I wanted to wear a big bracelet. I couldn't find one I liked after I finally decided that I wanted one, lol.

I am so happy with my hair and makeup from my wedding day. We had a little makeup mishap (our second m/u artist screwed us over 16 days before my wedding and we had to find someone new on super short notice -- and i wasn't happy with her work, but she only did 3 people) but pictures came out great and I'm so glad I'm happy with how I looked
