I am curious to see if everybody was happy with their decisions. Such as hair, make up, shoes, DOJ, dress and etc. I guess since during the planning we all were confused about some things, torn between 2 ideas. COmfort of shoes over look of shoes for some, subtle make up or dramatic, hair up or hair down and the list goes on. But in the end, were you happy with what you choose or did you wish you would've gone another way.
Such as: doing hair up and not working out day of, or hair down. Doing subtle make up or dramatic and now seeing your pics thinking maybe should've gone another way. Maybe not listening to people and then realizing they were right, or listening to others and not going with what you had in mind and regretting it. Even dress, maybe thinking you should've picked something else.
I guess seeing all these new members and having the same questions we used to have about what would be better and everyone having a difference of opinion on what will be better for day of. Is there anything you would've changed, was there any advice you were given that you thought was wrong. One big one I see on here all the time is airbrush vs regular. On your wedding day were you happy with either decision. We're you happy with your hair?

Re: Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look
There were so many things I absolutely loved about my wedding. Though I must say that I think about a few things I would have changed quite frequently. Things that probably no one would have noticed or thought twice about, but I think about.
I'm an over-analyzer
1. I wish I didn't have white eye liner, I wish someone noticed it and said, 'Hey, that doesn't look good, change it to black!' Also there are things about my hair I wish were different, but I'm not sure how I would change it. It wasn't like my trial though. The airbrush makeup was great!!!
2. I wish I had flowers, flowers and more flowers everywhere for my ceremony. Top of the arch, petals on the sides of the isle, etc. I was told I wasn't aloud to have petals on the ground because it might go in to the fountain, but the night before my wedding the bridal attendant told me I was aloud to and didnt know why someone would tell me that. Oh well.
3. I wish I had spot lights on my centerpieces (again, not a big deal, but it really would have been a nice touch)
4. I wish I knew about that shoe site that has shoes with blue on the bottom. I would have totally bought a pair for my day. My shoes were perfect, but I love little touches like that.
5. I kinda wish I kept the shorter veil on for at least my first dance, but I took it all off after cocktail hour.
I really hate thinking about the coulda shoulda woulda's, I need to accept everything for what it was.

I loved everything ! Especially our decision to change into converse low cut sneakers for the reception. He wore black and I wore green. One of my girl friends took the day off from the salon she works in to do my hair & makeup. I loved it ! I loved my dress just as much the day of our wedding as I did the very first time I tried it on. My two best pieces of advice: When they tell you to walk slow down the aisle...walk even slower. No matter what anyone says, don;t let it get to you. Be happy this is one of the best days of yours & your future husband's lives...ENJOY !!!

thank you and yes its in our heads. We just went to a wedding at tribeca rooftop and the CP's were INSANE, they were these VERY long vases, longer than normal, and instead of putting flowers inside the vase, the put it on this base that was put on top of the base and then huge branches and red flowers coming out of it. It was so gorgeous and i had wanted cherry blossoms originally but dh didnt like the very branchy look lol. But yeah we have to stop haha

Seriously- yea I'm sure we could pick our own days apart- especially seeing other people pics and whatnot but in the end- I think we all had pretty amazing days and we all are married now and enjoying life- weddings go in the books
Yea its alot of dough to spend on one day but I would say its worth it...overall I have the time of my life with my husband and it didn't matter about these little details...whatever happens, happens!

Ok- I don't want to insult anyone, but I wasn't totally happy with my hair. I felt like it fell out of the curl way too fast and toward the end I just looked like a mess.
Also, I HATED my headpiece! I really wanted to wear a flower in my hair but my mom talked me into the headband. I really kinda regret that decision because its not me. whatever, its nothing major but since you asked.....
ETA: I also got talked into getting a stick to mount my veil on and it was a BIG mistake! It fell out the entire time and totally FACKED my hair up!
i LOVED your hair!! in fact a pic of you from your wedding was in my Hair Ideas album
i thought it looked so classy and beautiful!

EXACTLY!!!! when i really think about it, would more branches in my cp have made my day better lol of course not so yeah it is silly when you think about it. I had the most amazing day of my life and thats what matters. None of those little details would've changed how we felt in the end

There were so many things I absolutely loved about my wedding. Though I must say that I think about a few things I would have changed quite frequently. Things that probably no one would have noticed or thought twice about, but I think about.
I'm an over-analyzer

Re: Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look
I loved everything! I wasn't exactly sure how I wanted my hair, but my hair stylist really did a great job! And my make-up artist was amazing - I loved my eyes!
Everything I wore that day was great, too - my dress, shoes, etc. were all comfy until the very end of the night (then my feet started hurting!) but my shoes lasted me the whole day and I felt fine!
I wouldn't change one thing about my wedding day look.

Another good point too, I'm sure people at our weddings are thinking wow, I should do my centerpieces like that or I love her hair, etc. So, in the end it is just a cycle of too many options out there! I think that is why some people are party or wedding planners. They can create every type of party with different colors, themes, budgets, etc!

I thought about that too, after the fact...but then I thought, what can I do! As they say, hindsight is 20/20! But I really had a great day, so it's not worth thinking about!

I loved my make up, and loved my hair up until the reception my curls didn't hold up...I should have carried a can of hairspray. I was also super upset that my dress kept on rising up (cause of the hoop skirt) which showed my feet. But I insisted on wearing the hoop skirt
i am curious, for you girls that hair didnt hold up and curls didnt hold up and fell early on. How was your hair done day of? was it curly iron or rollers was it a combo? I know my hair stylist said the best thing to do is curl it with an iron then you take each curl and pin it up for a bit and this will make the curl last longer.
My hair was curled with a curling iron. It has held up all day when she has done it that way before, but the rain made it go straight, which I kinda expected anyways. Tons of hairspray was used and it didn't do anything. I totally didn't mind that my hair started to go straight though, it still looked good.

Re: Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look
I was happy I think. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my dress, and was super happy with that, my make-up was airbrush and was great--only thing was I should have re-applied lipstick before the CH (after all those kissing pics!) but I didn't....not a huge deal though since my lips have a lot of natural color. Shoes I was happy with, made a last minute change there and it was a good one. Veil, I didn't really care about either way, sometimes I see other people's on here that are gorgeous and regret it, but in the end my mom made mine and it worked. It was the best with my dress. The only regret I have is it blew out once while we were taking pics and my Bridal Attendant put it back in backwards (like the comb was curved and supposed to go with my head and instead it was against) so after that it looked weird. That was close to the end of our pics anyway.
Hair, I was happy with. The day before I went to my final fitting and had my hair down and I was like oooh I like it with my hair down, BUT it was like 95 degrees the day of my wedding and I think I might have died! I did not wear a headpiece and I don't regret that at all, although I had a tough time deciding not to. DOJ I wore my grandmother's pearl necklace and that was it, and it was perfect.
Overall I felt like I looked like me as a Bride so it was perfect--I didn't want to look like a different person and I know I didn't!

Re: Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look
overall i was happy with my look...my hair fell by the time of the reception (but i figured it might bc my hair is annoying like that-and it was curled with a curling iron and held up for awhile) so i kinda wish i payed someone to come and touch it up but oh well
Now looking back i kinda wish i wore a veil during the reception...i actually really like the pics of me wearing a veil and it prob would have hid my hair better

Re: Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look
Denise, I'm so glad you started this...I was only thinking the other day 'should I change my mind and wear my hair half up and half down' and wondered if anyone regret their decision.
My hair will not hold the curl and if it rains, it will get frizzy, so I'm going with all up..
thanks for starting this...It's interesting to read.
