Just curious which way you are going to have your last name after the wedding?
1. Fi's last name 2. Keeping your maiden name or 3. Hyphen names

I'm Mrs. Joseph B....... (I kept his)
Which is so tough since I have tons of irish friends who know me as my first and madien name... when I call their parents home I need to use my old name.. lol

Re: Married vs. Maiden Names
i'm taking his name a few years ago a male friend said something that i found interesting...... he said that he'd want his wife to take his name because when they have kids, the woman has such a strong connection to the child, but one of the most significant things a father can give his children is his name..... i thought that was a sweet sweet thing, so i decided when i got married that i would take my husband's name so that we all share the same last name when we're a family.
but if you're not planning on having children, then this is a non-issue!

Keeping my name, using his name for social/school issues. Wanted to do a double last name without hyphen, but I don't think you can without losing your middle name.

Re: Married vs. Maiden Names
I'm going to be dropping my middle name and my maiden name will become my new middle name and adding his. I really don't want to lose my last name completely. But I'll probably always sign Jane S. Doe. So I won't really be using my maiden name, but I'll feel better knowing that it's still there

Re: Married vs. Maiden Names
I am taking his name. I was planning on hypenating, but then it seemed too long. Also my FH said it meant a lot to him for me to take his name, since we would becoming our own family.
I have only been working for 4 years once we get married, so professionally- its no big deal.
