So we just got married 7/5/09 But, we can't take our honeymoon till December because of work obligations. It's fine, but will it feel like a honeymoon? or just a vacation?

Re: Married...but no honeymoon..yet
One of my sisters waited an entire year before she went on a honeymoon, and they went to New Orleans... it definitely wasnt a honeymoon type destination... but a honeymoon really is just a vacation!

I think if you take a regular vacation like going somewhere typical, it will feel like a regular vacation...if you plan special places and activities, it will feel like your HM.
I also wanted to tell you you were A FREAKING GORGEOUS BRIDE! Your body is spectacular! (and I sound like i'm in love with you now, haha!)

I think its fine. I know a lot of people that waited to go on their honeymoon for a variety of reasons and they still had a good time. I think you will have a great honeymoon. By the way I love your dress and congrats on getting married.

FH and I got married in April and we just went on our HM July 4th. We made it our honeymoon so it felt like a honeymoon. I think its what you make of it. Congrats!

IN the same boat. We were married in March and maybe might be able to go away in August. If not, December. It's really annoying, but we had no choice due to work and school. I think it will feel like a honeymoon. After all the wedding planning, work and me finishing up my program ~ we will definitely be in heaven !

First off congrats and what a beautiful BP!
I am also taking my honeymoon later. a) money b) work obligations c) I really didn't want to have the pressure of packing for two weeks AND planning a wedding lol d) it will give us something to look forward too after post pardom wedding blues.
It will be a HM if you make it one!
I think we will go to AC for one night after though..just to do something...

Congrats on the wedding, pictures are great. I think it would feel like a honeymoon. In essence it is a vacation, but you can still make it feel like a honeymoon.

We're going to be going on our honeymoon a few months later as well due to work issues. We're just making sure it's our 'dream trip' and spoiling ourselves to make it stand out from being just a vacation!
