your & my prayers were answered!!!!!!! I got a phone call 10 min ago for a job interview!!!!

less then an hour later i got a SECOND CALL!!!!!!! and this ones for my dream job!!! I CANT BELIVE IT!!!

2 interviews tomorrow

Congrats Meg that is awesome!!

and those questions listed above are great. But if you are offered the job on the spot at teh end of the interview I feel you can than ask about pay/vacation etc.

If they offer you the job just kindly say well I love everything about this position (if you do haha) but I would like to also know what the starting salary is and if I am able to receive benefits and when those benefits would take into effect (Sometimes it can be 3 months after working etc).

Some questions you can ask the interviewer:

-What do you love about working here?
-Is there anything you don't like?
-Who would I be reporting to?
-Is this a new position or would I be replacing someone? If replacing, can you tell me why and when the last person left?
-What opportunities for growth are there in this department? (ie, what's the chain of command like? If I did well, what's the next step for me here?)
- What would my day-to-day work load be like? Can you describe a typical day for someone in this role?

Don't ask about vacation, sick time or pay in the first interview.

Thank you very much. those are some really great ?'s ... see and i've been told so many times.. that you need to ask about vacation and pay at the first interview cuz most likely they will onlybe interviewing you once and by the end of the interview if they offer the job you want to be able to say yes or no. and i cant do that with out knowing about $$ kwim?

I have interviewed a lot of people and it never bothered me when someone asked... after all you have to know if the job can fit into your situations and life style. And those questions listed above are GREAT!

If they offer you the job at the end of the interview, THEY should have brought up pay. I have just always been told it's tacky to ask that up front. If they offer you the job and do not discuss pay / vacation / perks, there is NOTHING wrong with you telling them you will need some time to think about it (a few days). Then, when you get home, you can send a thank you email and ask any other questions. I know it seems silly to ask later when you could ask right there, but I just have always felt more comfortable discussing money via email, not in person. You could ask them about pay if they offer you the position, before you leave, too. You have a right to know that, of course!

The point is, you don't want to make the interviewer think allllll you care about is the money (even if it is the only thing you care about - because let's face it, the only reason we are working is to get paid!). So, if you ask, I would suggest you wait until the end of the interview, once all the important questions concerning your duties have been answered.

Just a bit of advice: Go on as many interviews as you can. Don't not go to any because you've gotten this call!

Advice...don't Settle on one interview! Go on them all and then make a decision on who is the best company to work for!!

how do you end an interview if they offer you the job but yet you want to sit on it and discuss it and go on more interviews.. how do i let them know im interesed but need a day or so to think about it??
