He worked at the king kullen in massapequa park. Fox news just said if anyone thinks they have been in contact with him please see your doctor....so if anyone shops there and remembers being helped by a 17 year old kid..get checked out it is highly contageous!

He also played on the basketball team

just looking out for my girls!

i saw on the news last night- im like omg thats mhs!!!

they did say you had to be in 'close' contact to get it so idk if going to a supermarket would count..unless he sneezed or caughed on you...i have no clue.

My FSIL is a junior at Massapequa, she got her shot this morning. FH and I both graduated from there as well. This week they had regents which is a good thing because a lot of students had off so maybe as many were not exposed.

They were 96 and one of their sisters was 98.

It's so sad.. I graduated from MHS.. so even though I don;t know him it's still disturbing.. Just watching the news and they just said that a woman I believe in a private school just died of bacterial meningitis as well..

I grew up with LeeAnne. We were like BFF when we were in pre-k. We got our ears pierced together when we were 4! She ended up going to a different school from me once we went to kindergarten, so we eventually lost touch. It's so sad though cause I totally remember hanging with her all the time when we were little, and I was just so shocked when I heard the news.

OMG i am sitting here hysterical...i never heard the name of the other meningitis victim yesterday...i just pulled up newsday and there was her picture....LeeAnne Burke! I have known her since i was 12 years old, I was bedt friends with her brother all through middle school! She was always so sweet and so kind, i am so upset right now. Please send good thoguhts and prayers to her family...this is so horrible i didnt expect that as soon as i woke up this morning
