Massapequa/Mass Park question re: take out food

Jen's is great for Chinese on 107, it's in a shopping center by the dunkin' donuts? I'm not sure exactly where but it's good!

if you are up for thai, green leaf on carman's road by the mall is great! it's thai but with a chinese food kind of flair.

Since I'm new in the mass/mass park area, too, can anyone recommend good italian take out? I haven't found anything I love yet.

Carmella's Pizza on Merrick Road between Seaford And Forest Avenues is really good... they have great pastas.. I used to live around the block from there and we ate there a lot!

Phil's Pizza in Tower Records shopping mall on Sunrise Hwy has great pizza/subs.

Sergio's Italian Rest. on Merrick Rd is a good sitdown -I think they have takeout also-- kind of cheesey decor. My fave Italian is Il Classico near the HS. A new one that is also really good for sit-down Italian is Amici. Just recently attended a rehearsal dinner there- Excellent food.

Grace Kitchen I think its called on Merrick Rd. near the HS for Chinese is pretty decent. Also, Davids China Garden is Seaford is good.

I'm in N. Massapequa, and still haven't found a great Chinese take out yet. There is a new place in Bethpage that wasn't too bad. I don't remember the nsme though. Sorry! As for the italian, I second Amici. My hubby doesn't really care for it, but I like it. For Sushi lovers, try Tai Show on Merrick Rd., it's pretty good.Any suggestions on any other good resturants in the area??

My mother's friend's son lives in Massapequa and he LOVES the Corner Galley. It's seafood and I guess steaks and chicken too. It's on Merrick Road and he says the Shrimp Scampi is 'to die for' I havent tried it yet so my recommendation is heresay.

buttafli-

My brother lives in Bethpage and he turned me on to a place called Green Tea on Hicksville Road to satisfy my chinese food craving (just south of Hempstead Turnpike). It was very good.

Anyone know if that place Cafe Butera is any good? Friends of ours want to try it with us and I am curious.

OMG I LOVE Butera's!!! there is the main restaurant and then the CAfe!! Both are incredable!! I do not think they take reservations for less than 6 and on certain nights...be prepared to wait!! But so worth it!!

MMMMMMM....I think the hubby and I have to take a ride there one night!! We havent been there in a while!!

Next time I order Chinese I might try Jen's. It's not too far from me.

Love Butera's Cafe!

My husband also plays there on a Friday or Saturday night about once a month, so I have dinner with friends/family while he is entertaining.

For Chinese - the place we love is on Merrick Road in the shopping center right before St. Rose Church - can't think of the name off the top of my head, but so far I think they are the best.

For Italian, I say Carmella's or Gino's - Gino's is on Merrick Road right past the High School in the Ace shopping center across from Burns Park.

Butera's is also delicious as is the Thai place mentioned above.

Lee-

Is the Chinese restaurant you are talking about in the shopping center where Starbucks is? Or is it in the strip mall on the same side as St Rose of Lima? That is much closer to me. When I tried Jens I had to pick it up, it was pretty far up Hicksville Rd. from us.
