They are both great. You have to pay vilage taxes though in addition to normal taxes in the Park.
Watch the schools as well. The best would be Massapequa or Plainedge. Farmingdale is ok but not as good and Amityville is worse then that.

People have said that there are more rules in the Park. Does anyone know anything about that?

Yes there are such as parking rules, etc. It is a very nice area though but you may want to contact the town before you buy a house there.

All viallgea have rules...When I lived in lynbrook, which is a village...you werent allowed to park on the street between 3am and 5am in the morning...If you did you would get a parking ticket....
There were other rules but that one stood out in my head...
And village tax stinks, because I remember my parents complaining of how it always went up. Scott
