and i want a house, found one we love....but not sure what to do with this market, makes me nervous to buy something right now
IF we can even get a loan.....
but i would imagine they woud still lend? how else are they going to make money?
Theres no money to lend you bc everyone took out loans they cant afford. ie. no money going in... no money going out. Unless we give the banks $$ to get the ball rolling we're going to be frozen.

i cant find articles right now but all of them will say that if this gets to the point that well it just did, even those with excellent credit wont get loans. The banks wont be able to, they are going down left and right. I will try to find the articles and info on this

Here is one quote from suzie orman but ill try to find articles on this
These bankruptcies mean credit will be almost impossible to get. Chances of getting a mortgage, car loan, student loans for your kids, will be very very difficult.'

this is not being passed bc the politics who voted against it are scared that they are not going to be reelected... meanwhile they are going to put us in a GREAT DEPRESSION!
actually its the ceo's of the financial businesses that put us there. Its not governments responsibility to pay off their debts, this is not a socialist government. Its the mortgage business and financial institutions that put us in this situation.
And it's also millions of people who were approved of mortgages of no money down. They purchased houses that they couldn't afford and in turn, failed to make payments and then the domino effects of foreclosures ocurred which in turn left the banks without money because they lended more than they got back. Thank you Mr. Clinton for getting us into this disaster.
This is a wake up call for everyone. People need to know that they cannot live beyond their means. Whether it's the CEO or the normal middle class person struggling to get by- we all need to stop being greedy.

not so fast. this was a clinton/bush one-two punch. clinton opened doors to get people in homes, and bush pushed them open wider with the help of a deregulating republican majority. in flowed the corruption and abuse.

Re: Massive financial bailout
i am actually very scared right now. I have it on CNN just waiting to see how the market will close today. Since the bail out plan was denied, within 10 mins the market went down 700 points. I wasnt 100% happy with the bail out plan BUT in order to deny it then you need to have another plan to go into effect ASAP, not to deny it and THEN try to come up with a plan. If this was the case then they should've just voted yes even though many of us werent happy with it.

Re: Massive financial bailout
Just take a look at how the market has taken a PLUNGE today and that is because of the the no vote on the bailout. The bailout may not be the perfect answer but nothing is going to put this country in dire straits and it going to start hitting the world economy

she is blaming clinton bc it was clinton who passed the bill to make it easier for ppl to get homes and doing such things as 0% down, which was a huge problem as we see now. So thats why she blamed him since it was his plan.
ETA: everyone is to blame now lol

Exactly. 8 years in office there were plenty of signs this was on its way to happening. Gimme a break with the Clinton blaming already. Anytime something goes wrong Im just gonna blame it on Clinton
