this may sound stupid, but should the pics on the invites and save the dates match? i know i've seen save the dates with the couple's picture on them so i'm guessing it doesn't have to match. But i wasn't sure for a theme wedding do i want the graphic to match. Any thoughts???

totally up to you. I know it was important to me to have save the dates match the invites... but i do not believe that is the necessary. I do however think that colors and setting the tone for the wedding can be done thru save the dates and invites so it depends on what you are going for... can you be more detailed.....

mine didnt match at all!
the only thing that matched our STDs was the water bottle label i made for our OOT baskets
you def. don't have to...but im anal and would prob. match the colors

I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you fall in love with a certain save the date, and then later like an invite with a different style I don't think that matters. I think the invitation is what really starts the style that the wedding will follow.

i definitely don't think they have to match. it all depends on what you like and what you want at the time. for some reason, from the beginning, i wanted mine to match so we kept with the same design and just tweaked it a little to include all of our colors. in the end, it's your day so do what makes you happy!! :)

Mine didn't match at all. I did a fall theme STD and then a very pretty scroll work design on the i nvites.

I'm def. not matching them at all. I want to have something different with my invites. I really don't think they need to match, but you can if you really want to.

It's up to you what you want to do, how much time and money you want to spend on them. I wanted mine to match, but I hadn't thought about invitations yet when it was time to make the STDs.
So our STD magnets had a reddish rose design, while our invitations are white cardstock with a silver vine border and dark blue inner envelope lining to match our blue and silver theme. I printed the envelopes myself to continue the theme that I'm creating throughout the wedding.
