Matching Wedding Bands?

So hear goes.....

Do you feel that your wedding band has to match your FH's wedding band?
I for one would like a titanium band, something industrial looking.
I really don't wear jewelery and the titanium looks best on my finger.

However, FW wants to get a platinum wedding band with diamonds and wants me to have a matching band.
I really don't want two bands because I know I'll never wear one of them.

So my question to all you Brides out there is this:

Does it matter that your FH have a matching band?

To me it kind of does. I mean not 100% matching, but at least the same style.

I know my FH wants to get 2, a plain one for work and then a matching one to mine for going out.

Honestly it doesn't matter to me whether my band matches FH's. It would be nice don't get me wrong but to match my engagement ring I'm getting a platinum band with diamonds half way around and I know there's no way that FH ( a very simple guy) is gonna get a band with diamonds. We've actually started looking at bands and it looks like he'll be getting a thick 14 carat white gold plain band.

It'd be nice if they match but I already know he doesn't want diamonds and I do.

Same scenario here!!!!!!!!! It actually doesn't matter to me. Honestly...if he had it his way..he'd have a gold band(no gold for me!) But Like Santina..I want a band with diamonds...brilliant eternity band, and fh does not like diamonds on men So his won't match.

So long as he wears his ring I'm more than content

No - My FH is the same as you - he doesn't wear jewelry and he doesn't want a band with diamonds. I just wanted him to WEAR a wedding band!!!! So he is just going to get a titanium band as well. He also likes the industrial look. I want a white gold half channel set eternity band. So we're getting different ones.

nope, i am going to have a white gold band with diamonds, and my FH was torn between the titaniym and tungsten...he decided to go with tungsten becuse it looked better, and was alittle heavier.

I am getting to wear what I want for a band, and so should he. He is the one that has to wear it. The meaning is behind the bands, so they don't have to look alike to me.

I don't think they have to match, however, I have told FH that I want them to be the same color/material...ex. if my e-ring is platinum I want him to have platinum or titanium..or whatever other material looks silver!!!!!!

it honestly doesn't matter to me..we already got our rings and we picked something simple that he would always wear and wouldn't fuss over

it doenst matter to me...my band will match my e-ring as a set...and FH is getting two rings...1 titanium (for work) and a nice one for other occasions..he can pick out whatever he wnats..bc i want him to like what he has to wear....

doesn't matter to me. Our bands are not matching. The only thing that matter to me was having a band to match my e-ring.

it doesn't make a difference to me whether it matches or not-- i either want an eternity band or just diamonds across the top (5 or 6) and FH wants diamonds too lol! so i told him do whatever you want-- but i want to make sure he can wear it anywhere-- so he is going to most likely just get plain platinum otherwise he would not be able to wear it to work, etc.

Nope, my DH is the same as you - hates to wear jewlery. He got a titanium band and mine is platinum with diamonds.
You can't see mine that great because my e-ring is blocking it, but here's a pic:

To me it does. I mean I knew that no matter what we did our rings would not be 100% the same cuz i wanted a thin bands with some diamonds in it. I know that he would not feel comforable wearing something like that but if figured at least he can have a mascuale version and i would have the fem. version.
His is 6mm with 3 diamonds in the middle and mine is 4mm with 9 diamodns in it.
I recall u commented on them when I posted them and u like them.

Not at all. That's not important to me. I want the matching band to my engagement ring and that would look silly on him. He's not a jewelry guy so he wants something very simple and of course, I'm a girl so I want diamonds

To me it matters and we got matching bands... this works for us b/c we both wanted white gold no diamonds in it... something simple...

Doesn't matter to me whether or not they match...
I'm probably going to get a diamond eternity band and he will get something simple and thicker without diamonds... probably a plain white gold band.
My only request is that his band be the same color as mine (white gold, titanium, platinum, whichever he chooses)

it doesnt have to match perfectly, but i think similarity is what i want, i dont want 2 completely different looking rings, but i know hes not going to want exactly what i want so similar rings is what we are going to do

FH wants a plain platimum band no bling and of course diamonds are a gril's best friend so I want bling on mine...so we will not match
