Ok, I have a question. How far in advance should I be going with my BM's (or telling them to start looking) for BM's dresses? I was thinking the end of August, early September - is that too late? Thanks!

No, that's perfect. You should have at least 6 months! We ordered ours the October before...

How far in advance did you ladies book your HM's? Do you think it would be cheaper to book them farther in advance?

I was wondering about ordering the BM dresses. I haven't starting looking yet. I was hoping to order them by the end of the summer.

About BM dresses you are fine up to 3 months before your wedding date. Most places take between 8 to 10 weeks. If you want to wait to see the winter collections, you still have time!

Beth, about STDs, I sent mine about 6 months before the wedding. I was a little late. I think 8-9 months is perfect.

DrmnBlnd, I booked my HM a while before, for a few reasons.
It's best to get your hotel reservation in, especially if it's somewhere that will book fast.
Also, if you have a good TA, she will let you know about any deals that come along the way, so you won't miss out. I don't think they book the airline until actually like a month before your trip anyway, they just have it reserved before that.

Where are you planning on going?
Let me know if you need a recommendation for a TA. Mine was the best, many Brides here have used her.

I was sooo anal about my invitations. I had them custom made so I ordred them very early like in November, but told her to have them ready by Febuary. I mailed them out Mid March for May 31st.
