My FH really wants a short engagement (originally he said 6 months but thats just too short for me) so we have agreed on 8-10 which is April-June 2004. So here is our issue. We really like the Meadow Club and they only have May 8 or June 19. May 8 is Mothers Day weekend. Some have told me we may have issues with Florists especially. June 19 we can have our cocktail hour beginning at 6 but the church is only open at 1 so thats a long break. I need some opinions what are your thoughts, we dont know which is better. THANKS!!!

I think both would work - A good florist has been through it before and will know how to work it!
The break depends on how long it takes to get from the church to the hall?

My wedding is ON mothers day, and so far there has not been an issue with the florists about that day.

Tracy, do you know if you were charged MORE because of that date? That is what friends keep telling me to be careful of because MD is a big flower giving day so they may up the prices. Thanks

nope, not to my knowledge anyway... i was quoted an excellent price from one person. Plus a lot of them focus on weddings, so theres no need to hike up the price for Mothers Day. And if they do, you don't want to hire them anyway!
