i dont want to get into it right now....b/c it's a lot to explain and it makes me upset to think about......but....i am SO in love with my wedding gown....but....i may have to start looking for a different one! i just met with my seamstress last night. she does great work and is VERY experienced in working with high end gowns....but i think after meeting with her i am realizing that my dress may not be 'the one'. although i am SO in love with it at the same time. i am not 100% sure on my decision...but it is a possibilty ....so my plan is to start looking again this weekend just in case. right now i am just looking for some support....i will get into the details at another time.
i just added pics and a bit of an explanation below.... (i know i said i wasnt going to get into it, lol....i guess talking about it helps a little)
UPDATE....ok, i went dress shopping again today....i found one today that i really loved, it's a different style...a little more of a ballgown (but it might really be a-line its hard to tell). the bodice has beading that is similar in color to the fabric so it dosnt 'stand out' as much as the silver beading...and the skirt is a sattiny material with beading along the bottom edge. i really fell in love with the dress right away it stood out on the hanger and it looked and felt great on! so it is a possibility. and i have a feeling it will go well with my great grandmothers veil which i was thinking about using. my plan is to get my original gown shipped to me from seamstress and then make my decision from there. i will try it on again at home and then try to make a decision. if i decide to keep my original dress i might look into finding a different seamstress. i feel much better today about everything. i know there are definately other dresses out there that i like, so it's just a matter of deciding between one of those and my original 'the one' i wish i had pics from today, but i will be sure to keep you girls updated

Awww hun!!!! Everything is going to be ok! Remember this happened for a reason....and after meeting with a seemstress something isnt right, then lets be thankful you found out now...
If you just found out give it some time for the news and reality to set and in a few days things will become clearer.

well....it has spaghetti straps on it....i wanted them removed and when i told her she was surprised. she said that since the top is not really a corset that it will need to be taken in a lot (which i expected)....but....i am just nervous that it wont hold me up! and my dress is so intricate with all the detail and beading on the top and around the bottom of the skirt that the alterations will be well over $1000 . (thats not even with bustle) which i dont mind paying if i was sure how it would look on me in the end...but i am just worried that i will spend that much and still be 'unsure' and then really regret it! i know that there are many dresses out there that i could be happy with and not 'somewhat worried about' ......i just dont know.... my mom says i am worrying too much and that is is gorgeous and will be fine....but, i just dont want to worry this much about my wedding gown!

Is there anyway the seamstress can create a corset by putting wire ( i dont know the name but it used to be whale bone WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back when!) under the breast and on the sides vertically to make it sturdy and hold u up????

Heather I think your dress is beautiful! But if you are having doubts I would take a look at a few more and if this dress is the one you will go back to it.

im confused because lots of strapless dresses arent corsets?? i was just having this discussion today about how important a great tailor is.. also over a 1000 seems pretty steep.. i feel like for what you want to to..it def can be done.. and probably for a lot less.. let me know if you want the name of a few tailors.. i would def ask around.. if you love the dress (which you should it looks amazing on youu) then you should stick with it..
