So last night on the news they were talking about a bus stop in Brooklyn that had an ad for the show 'the L word' it had all the woman in the cast posing naked (but totally covered up) and people are FREAKING out and demanding it come down today! I don't see what the big deal is. Parents are saying they don't want to explain to their children what the L word means (Lesbian) I kinda think this is whats wrong with society today. This might be what makes children not like gay people!
Then they just had on the news a store that is in the same neighborhood as a middle school. The store sells lingere and whips and chains. The Lingere is in the window. People are demanding the store move. REALLY who cares. I hope these same people don't have HBO where you can here curse words and people being shot and naked girls on real sex and G sting Divas.
Im so sick of people 'freaking out' stupid crap. I still don't get the whole Janet Jackson things so what. It was 2 seconds and unless you were sitting on top of the tv or had Tivo you didnt see it (or the Internet) .
People on other country laugh at us for this reason!!!!!!!

There was a whole news report on it last night. Honestly, it's just lazy parents who don't want to talk to their kids about anything that makes them uncomfortable.

Hey G strings divas is an awesome show....my gfs and I used to watch it at night for some laughs, haha. I agree that people need to get over all this stupid stuff. Homosexuality is part of our society today and people need to start realizing it. They are sheltering their kids and in my opinion its not harming them to know that yes there are homosexuals in the world.
I would think that being open to that type of communication would lead to a lot less problems in the future. It would teach kids how to be fair to other individuals. I also think that whole lingerie thing is bad too. If it is such a problem, then dont bring your kids around there anymore.

And why don't these very same parents EVER freek out about violent video games and movies and behavior that is EVERYWHERE? Bloodshed has become far more acceptable than sex - it's so freaking backwards!

I really feel that people are scared of the unknown, they act like homosexuality is some type of disease or something. I think that by them being against it, in a way is enabling their children to learn how to hate

Its ridiculous. I totally agree. What about the whole sponge bob thing a month ago? They wouldn't air a music video because it promoted homosexulality. Because sponge bob and patrick hold hands. Um, ok.

I totally see where you're coming from, but I will be honest and say I wish these things werent around. Its not that I wont talk to my son about sex etc... but its ALL around me.. EVERYWHERE.. I DO think I would be happier without whips, chains, naked posters, and bloodshed. I personally could do without it all. JMHO P.S. I have a 3 year old but also felt that way before hand. I could just do without it all. I think this world is very evil and I would rather show all the nice things. Call me crazy LOL

I understand your point...its not that homosexuality is evil, of course not...but even when i walk through georgetown now...more and more whips and chains, naked posters...etc are lining windows and yes, sometimes its a little much! Not to mention kids asking the questions, i wonder myself what the half the stuff is, lol!

Well Im not saying that they should put naked pictures in the windows thats not what it was about. It was about Lingere in the window. I mean don't take your kids to the mall and walk past federicks or Victoria secret and definetly don't get the maqazine in the mail.

RIGHT Ive been to Manhattan and to the stores in Manhattan Cough pink pussy cat Cough and they don't even have whips and chains in the window nor do they have pictures or 'personal massagers' in the window either you have to walk to the back of the store to see that.

lol...they aren't everywhere...but...i live in DC...and there are quite a few 'novelty' shops that line georgetown which i just found kind of funny considering the type of area georgetown is. I swear..there is a store where in the window a mannequin is wearing a strap on and holding handcuffs and the other has a whip...
