If he thinks that he shouldn't cancel school tomorrow he is ridiculous! The weather although beautiful is too crummy to be driving out there. Stay safe everyone and Happy Planning!!! :)

Re: Mayor Bloomberg..
I dunno yet. I just heard earlier he was tryin to decide whether to keep them open tomorrow which is ridiculous. You would be jeopardizing the teachers as well as the students. No Bueno!

Re: Mayor Bloomberg..
Even if school is open, I think I might take the day off. This is ridiculous, it's supposed to snow till like 2am...
Pray for another snow day!!

Re: Mayor Bloomberg..
I was just talking to a friend about this. And this is just one of the reasons that I seriously hate Bloomberg. I love the way that he talks about snow days. He goes on and on about how NYC never does this, blah blah blah, but he wants to make sure the kids are safe at home and not stuck at school. Not once does he mention the safety of the teachers. Why would he, considering that so many teachers don't live in the neighborhoods of the schools that they work at, and the kids do, they can walk to school?! Obviously I am concerned about the children too but what about us? Just goes to show that he hates us as much as we hate him.

Re: Mayor Bloomberg..
He better hope not one child is harmed on their way to school tomorrow. He will be sued up his A$$ if a child or even a teacher gets hurt on their way to school
Remember the firefighter who was killed during the Bus Strike. His family sued the city for millions and won.

Re: Mayor Bloomberg..
I had work yesterday as well as today, I take public transportation from Manhattan to Jersey City, and I honestly don't think it's that bad out.
Did you know that it cost Washington DC $100M for one snow day? NYC schools already don't have much, and I think closing them down would be more of a detriment.

I think this goes for any administration that decides these sorts of things...not just bloomie...sorry to say it, but this happens everywhere!

Re: Mayor Bloomberg..
O.k...I made it in to school and I have to say that I took two trains and a bus and made it on time with no problem.
As much as Bloomberg annoys me, maybe he made the right call!
