For all you Mcdonalds eaters, I heard on the radio this morning that Mcdonalds will be trying to phase out there Super Sized meals so they can serve a healthier meal to their customers.
I dont think that not having supersized meals is going to make all their fried foods healthier.
I think this is a stupid thing to do....even though I eat Mcdonalds maybe once a year.

Re: Mcdonalds
i just think that any attempt by the fast-food industry to try and clean up its act a little and help make americans less fat and more healthy is a step in the right direction. even if that step may not necessarily do anything, at least they are finally acknowledging the fact that they are part of the problem. isn't that a good thing?

I mights sound bad here but We are adults.... You can control and eat what you want. If my friend really wants his supersized Fries he will just get 2 Large Fries which would be even worse.

Re: Mcdonalds
I don't think that it should be up to McDonald's to make Americans less fat. Same goes for Burger King, Krispy Kreme, Wendys... To me all these places are indulgences. If you choose to indulge 6 days a week then don't blame McDonalds for what the scale reads next Monday.
We have places like TCBY or Yogurteria, or all those other 'healthy' alternatives...or we can stay home and boil a chicken breast.
IMO, any true health conscious person will avoid McDonalds like the plague. I've had the salad there and the next time I spend $6 at McDs you can bet it'll be on something that I at least ENJOY.
Michelle I'm with you on that one. I always carry a bottle of water in my purse. $3.50 is insane. But you can't replicate movie popcorn...

Re: Mcdonalds
yeah...because the fact that there aren't any supersized fries available is going to stop people from overindulging!
Hi, I'll take 2 LARGE FRIES PLEASE!!!
Oh, and look at that...MCDonalds just made an extra $1.79...lucky them

Re: Mcdonalds
It's not a matter of McD's trying to control what we eat, it's self preservation. They have a better defense against the money-grubbing lawyers and their clients that are trying to sue them.
If the portions are large - the person can claim ignorance. If the portions are smaller McD's or any other fast food restaurant can claim they never told you to eat 2 or more.

Re: Mcdonalds
This isn't going to change a thing . . . So now people will just order extra fries if they want them . . .
