Meditteranean Manor, Windows on the Lake and Micheal's??

My mother has given me some suggestions of reception halls to look at. I want her to feel involved so I definitely want to look at some of them. I decided against looking at Meadow Club (becuase it is on a highway) and Crystal Swan (becuase I didn't like the way it looked on their website), but am still considering looking at Meditteranean Manor, Windows on the Lake and Michael's. Does anyone have any feedback on these places - especially the prices! Thanks, Becky

Windows on the Lake

was very reasonable with prices and the catering manager we spoke with was very nice to us. It was a bit small for the number of people we planned to have and not really my taste. I think the prices were in the $60-70 pp if I remember correctly. This was in 2000 that I saw it though.

Windows on the Lake

Not to upset anyone, but a friend of mine had her wedding there about 5 years ago. Everyone said they had a great time and the place was nice. However the night ended with most of her bridal party and guests getting sick (food poisoning)! She has found out that most of them had the salmon, which was probably the cause. My friend had spoken to the management and they refuse to do anything for her and give her the complete run around. I'm sure this can happen anywhere, but just wanted you to be aware. Good Luck!

Windows on the Lake

We had our September wedding at the Beach Club which is owned by the same people who own Windows on the Lake. I can tell you from my own experience that the food and service were awesome and I would recommend anyone to either place. It is my understanding that there was a change in management a few years ago and since that time there has not been one complaint. They are definately worth looking into.

Meditteranean Manor, Windows on the Lake and Micheal`s??

Hi Becky, I'm having my reception at the Meadow Club. The place is beautiful, the food was great, and the prices were very reasonable. I didn't mind the fact that it was on a highway because I felt that would make it easier to find. Just my opinion though. I looked at Windows on the Lake also, and while it was ok and the prices seemed reasonable, I wasn't happy with the fact that it's not ON the lake - it's across the road from it. And there are bunches of power lines when you look out the windows. Not to mention that if you want to take pictures on the lake, you have to contend with bunches of goose droppings. Good luck with your search!
