Ring: Princess cut with 6 baguettes on each side, 2 gold x's on each side, platinum rest of they way around....exactly what I wanted!
Proposal: My apt 6:30am he sat me down to propose on the way to Cancun for my 30th bday, he knew I wanted to be engaged before I turned 30 so he did it before we left (during my birth time we'd be on the plane)

Me: I work as a Shelter Manager in a homeless shelter.

Met: At his cousin's wedding. The bride's brother, Chris, is my best friend from elementary school. I saw Ben walk down the aisle to his seat and thought, 'that is the boy I'm going to marry'. He sat at my table at the reception and I gave him my best 'boy magnet smile'. He asked me to dance and we laughed all night. At the end of the night, he asked me for my number and wrote it down on a cocktail napkin(which I believe he still has). We went to the movies that same week and haven't been apart since...and that was 4 years ago!
Ring: My ring is a princess cut diamond with a white gold band. It is very simple, but very me.
Proposal: We went camping in New Jersey for a couple of days and then to Atlantic City for a few more. He told the hotel that we were getting engaged so they upgraded us to a suite. It was gorgeous! That night, as I was drying my hair, he told me he had a surprise for me. When I opened the door between the rooms of the suite, he was standing there in his suit with candles lit and a video camera rolling (I didn't see that until later). Then he got down on one knee and proposed. Ahh, it was beautiful...best night of my life.
Honeymoon: A 7 night cruise to the Southern Caribbean and 4 night stay in Puerto Rico.
Dress: I am so ashamed to say I cannot remember the designer. It's strapless and beaded and very long. I love it and cannot wait to see it again.

Met: Through a mutual friend...wound up not getting together until a couple of years later. We dated almost 2 years before the engagement.

Ring: Six prong solitare with platinum band. Exactly what I have always wnated.
Dress and veil: David's Bridal - also exactly what I have always wanted. Would post a picture but the one on the model does the dress NO justice and I still don't have one of me in it! I love my veil!
Bridesmaids Dresses: Also David's Bridal. Color of the dress will be wine. Our colors for the day are white, wine, and light pink.
Ceremony: At Notre Dame Catholic Church. This is the church I attended as a little girl - I went to Nursery- 3rd grade there.
Reception: Windows on the Lake. We wanted to be on the water in a quaint setting and LOVED WOTL as soon as we saw it.
Honeymoon: Somewhere tropical where we can do lots of stuff outside! Probably one of the Sandals on St. Lucia....We have to book soon!!
Planning from out of state so every trip to LI is jam-packed with planning!!
