Met: Both worked at a local supermarket when we were 17 and dated for three months. Then lost contact with each other and one day three years later he called. Hanged out the next day and have been together ever since.
Proposed: At the Brooklyn Promendade on 12/25/05 right across the seaport where he asked me out five years earlier
Wedding: 10/28/05 Chatea Briand a week after our 6year anniversary.
Honeymoon: San Juan and then a 7 night cruise
Dress: No clue
Ring: A 1ct princess cut in a channel setting with 1.25 carats around. Good job!

I visit this site often for information but never created an account till now.

Me: Christine
He: Billy
Me: Speech Pathologist

Met: We met through similar friends
Proposal: a trail of hershey kisses into the bathroom. In the shower was yellow rose petals with a sign that read 'I kissed the ground you walked on and showered you with roses.' I then heard music from the living room (I Believe in You and Me) and when I walked in he was on his knee holding a huge scrapbook sign (I love scrapbooking) that read 'I love you will you marry me?' He has a son who was also holding a sign that read 'I love you will you be my mom?' It was the happiest day of my life
Ring: Round stone flush setting with 4 prongs and channel set diamonds going down the sides of the band.
Dress: Eve of Milady (No pictures yet-It's a new dress for 2005)

met: very beginning of our 3rd year of
college. we didn't go to the same school,
but a friend of his from HS that went to
my college introduced us
proposal: on the beach in january my
my college was near the beach, and on
a saturday morning, i had to take a big
test to get my speech therapy license.
he hung out while i took the test, took
me out to a nice dinner that night and
somehow convinced me that a walk on
on the beach in january was a GOOD
idea . there was no one around
and he asked me then surprised me
again when he told me he had gotten us
a hotel room at this awesome winery that
i had always wanted to stay at! could
not have been better!

i realize i haven't done this....

Me: Daphne (28, 29 at the wedding)
registered nurse on a geriatric-psychiatric and medical floor in chicago.

He: Geoffrey (29, 30 at the wedding)
accounting clerk/biller for a publishing company.

Met: through my uncle who played basketball with him in a league.

Engaged: feb. 14, 2004. my story:

Daphne was working on Valentine's Day and called Geoffrey who didn't answer the phone. Later on he called Daphne back and said that he had gone out with his sister and her husband for lunch. Geoffrey only pretended that he went out for lunch, but was actually purchasing the engagement ring. That evening, Daphne, Geoffrey, his sister Goldie, and her husband Ryan went out for dinner at a nice upscale Asian restaurant. Before dinner, a man in a black suit approached Geoffrey and stated, 'Hi, I'm Adam...' Daphne was so exhausted from work that she was a little confused-- her mind was so tired. She thought Adam was a nice-looking gay guy hitting on Geoffrey, which she thought was a bit odd, especially since Daphne was sitting right next to him (hello,...), but let the thought go. During dessert, Adam again approached Geoffrey and Daphne, and placed a white rectangular plate in front of Daphne. It read, 'Grow old with me...' in chocolate syrup. Now Daphne was really confused---She thought, 'Why is the nice-looking gay guy telling me to grow old with him?' Geoffrey then pulled out a beautifully wrapped ring box and made a few statements to Daphne, who wasn't able to concentrate out of shock. Geoffrey set the ring box on the table for Daphne to open. It finally sunk in that Geoffrey was proposing. Daphne took the box into her lap and unwrapped it there, b/c she was embarrassed that people at nearby tables were staring at them. Geoffrey took the ring and placed it on her finger after she accepted. Now it all made sense... Adam was actually one of the floor managers of the restaurant!

Dress and veil: reem acra sheath with sheer sleeves and beading. silk tulle chapel length with blusher and edged with satin cording.

Bridesmaids Dresses: nicole miller wine gowns with ruching.

Ceremony: st. aidan's in williston park.

Reception: crest hollow country club. love the country club atmosphere and gardens.

Honeymoon: bora bora in french polynesia
