Me: work for Standard MicroSystems, just gave my 2 wks notice to start Student Teaching Feb 7.
Him: works for Long Island Hotels Mangement Company as an accountant
Met: Started talking on the computer like 7 yrs ago, then I had a friend at work that knew him from school and lived around the block from him.
Proposal: As we were laying in bed ChristmasEve morning (6am), he gave a little speech and handed me a bear with a box and the ring. He wanted to do it closer to midnight on Christmas eve, but he said he was toooo nervous..
Ring: platinum setting, hearts & diamonds shapped diamond, trillions on each side, diamond cuts around the side (my pic)
Wedding: Mediterrean Manor - New Years Eve...great way to ring in the new year!!!
Honeymoon: Probably a cruise to the southern caribbean

Met: I was a bartender while an undergrad student. He walked in on my first night. Here we are...MANY years later.

Engaged: Sept. 24, 2004. He took me out for my birthday (it was a couple of days earlier) to 'our' restaurant. After dinner, we drove to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade (overlooking the Manhattan skyline). I remember thinking that it would be a perfect place to get engaged (little did I know). A few moments later, he dropped to his knee. It wasn't until after the proposal that I realized we'd drawn a crowd behind us who applauded after I accepted.

Ring: Brilliant diamond set in white gold with 4 princess cut & 6 baguettes on the side (it's my avatar)

Dress and veil: Maggie Sottero for my gown. I haven't ordered a veil yet.

Bridesmaids Dresses: Watters & Watters #112

Ceremony: Interfaith ceremony at Woodbury Country Club (outside on their pond)

Reception: Woodbury Country Club

Honeymoon: Oahu, Maui, & Kaua'i (booking is hopefully in progress)

Engaged: Dec 19th, 2003. It was in Rockerfeller Center right in front of the tree. On our 2 yrs anniversary.

Ring: 1.31 princess stone. In a antique setting with smaller princess stones on the sides and round stones in the front and back. (very hard to explain)

Met: We met through similar friends
Proposal: a trail of hershey kisses into the bathroom. In the shower was yellow rose petals with a sign that read 'I kissed the ground you walked on and showered you with roses.' I then heard music from the living room (I Believe in You and Me) and when I walked in he was on his knee holding a huge scrapbook sign (I love scrapbooking) that read 'I love you will you marry me?' He has a son who was also holding a sign that read 'I love you will you be my mom?' It was the happiest day of my life
Ring: Round stone flush setting with 4 prongs and channel set diamonds going down the sides of the band.
Dress: Eve of Milady (No pictures yet-It's a new dress for 2005)

Proposal: December 31, 2003 - He tried to wait until midnight to do it, but he got as far as 430pm. hehe. It was amazing!

Wedding: May 20, 2005 @ The Beach Club Estate in Ronkonkoma

Honeymoon: no idea yet!

Dress: not sure about that either. I have a dress I got from David's Bridal a year ago, and now I'm having some major second thoughts about it, and I can't fit into it either, which is an entirely different stressful situation.

Met: I was out celebrating college graduation with my best friends from high school, and he was out with some of his best friends from high school. (at Napper Tandy's in Smithtown)

Proposal: Matt took me for a wonderfully romantic weekend in Boston for my 24th birthday. The night he proposed he got a limo to take us from our bed and breakfast to a wine tasting with an orchestra at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, to the Oak Room for dinner (an AMAZING and beautiful restaurant), and then we took the limo back to our gorgeous room, where there was a bottle of champagne on ice and the fire was lit. The first time he asked me to marry him he got very nervous, got on one knee, told me he loved me, and asked me. I obviously said yes. Then he got all excited, made me sit down, and spent the next 20 minutes telling me everything he had planned on telling me in his proposal, and then he proposed again.
