Hi everyone! First day on the boards!
Me: Dani

Me: New marketing rep for a psychiatric hospital
He: Internal Audit for Nextel
How we met: Actually at a halloween party, he was dressed as an obgyn and I was dressed as 'the godmother' When I went into the restroom, his friends found out the brownies were 'laced' and she started having....er...symptoms so they left and I came out to an empty room. The following day, we show up at a local Kroger at the same time, met in the cheese aisle and have been together ever since!
Proposed: He took me to this beautiful resort he had seen four years ago (before he met me) called the Homestead, took me by a pond and got down on one knee while I was opening my bday card. Inside was a brochure for Arthur Murry dance lessons (which he said he always wanted to take before he ever got married) I was hysterical crying, he was crying, it was amazing.
The Ring: A beautiful single 1 and 1/4 carat princess cut diamond in an cathedral band (I think its called)
Ceremony: Dec. 3, 2005 Saint Anthony's of Padua
Reception: Harrison House
Honeymoon: The Whitehouse in Jamaica!

Ring: Not good at describing rings. It has 3 stones, all princess cut. LOVE IT!!!!
Proposal: At Italian rest down the block from our place in RVC, in the dessert, down on one knee in front of everyone, it was awesome
Wedding: Westbury Manor, 11-4-05
Honeymoon: Disney (we both love love love disney, it was a must) and then ST. LUCIA
Dress: Marissa-LOVE IT, just put deposit down today; so pysched!-almost bought another dress, happy that I waited
BM Dress: NOT SURE YET (one piece strapless and one color though)

Met: at one of my best friends ( who was my boss at the time) 4th of July party 2003, my FH was a friend of his who i had never met
Ring: platnum attached but with a princess cut center stone and 3 princess cut in a channel set on each side, i absolutely love it!!
Proposal: at a deserted beach, it was so romantic, simple and what i always imagined!! no one else was around and the moon was gleaming off the ocean, he got down on one knee and popped the quesion!!!!

Me: I'm a mechanical engineer who tests military prototype engines and parts

He: Sales Engineer for Verizon in NYC

Met: Met during our first year of college in '92. We were just friends and I got to hear about the girls he was dating while having a major crush on him (we all studied together). Met again at Binghamton Jan '95 (first day of classes). That was it for me, about month later on Valentines day we began dating.

Ring: Absolutely adore it, it's perfect. A cushion cut diamond set in platinum with a baguette on each side.

Proposal: New Years Day '04. Simple and perfect at my house with my family.

Wedding: June 2005

Honeymoon: 2 weeks in Italy, a few days in Rome, Florence and Venice

Dress: Private Label by G.

Met: My best friend was dating his best friend and thought we should meet...back then it was cool to go on 'double dates'. We hated each other at first though...LOL
Ring: 3 stone emerald cut...I had a picture since I was 12 years old and he had the ring made to match! Love that guy!
Proposal: On the 5th year anniversary of the day we met he picked me up in a limo, where champagne (Cristal, his fave not mine) awaited and a beautiful bouquet of flowers, he took me to the River Cafe and proposed during dessert. He called my mom and asked for my hand and then he called my dad (in PR!) and did the same. Then he picked up all my friends from HS (4 girls, all different boroughs) and we danced the night away at Webster Hall. I had my e-party that night - and everyone got driven home by limo at the end of the night. Did I say I love him?!
Wedding: Richmond Hill, Queens ceremony (church) and Jericho Terrace for reception
Honeymoon: Royal Hideaway, Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Dress: I like one by Forever Yours but my mom insists on making my dress, so we'll see.
