Meeting with the Church

I'm meeting with a Deacon next week, who belongs to the Roman Catholic church I hope to be married in next summer. This will be our first meeting.

What should I expect? Should i prepare in any way? What types of questions might they ask?

Thanks!!

It'll pretty much be a meet n greet. He'll ask you and FH very general questions about yourselves and explain the process to getting married in the Church. Very simple and nothing to worry about in the least.

I met with my priest a few months ago. They ask you and FH questions to make sure you are ready to get married, Silly ones like are you marrying at your own free will... Nothing to worry about.

Thank you both!! I didn't know if I'd have to study the Bible haha

Dont worry about studying the bible...We met with our preist last night and he basically recited the bible to us about marriage, love, relations and children. 90 minutes later we walked out saying did that really just happen. Lol good luck
