Melissa Sweet 'Ginger' Gown

Melissa Sweet 'Ginger' Gown

So I tried on this gown at Priscilla of Boston and I love it. It is a simple mermaid cut gown with no beading, lace or anything. Although it is not terrbily expensive, the fact that it is so simple makes me think that I can get it made for a lot cheaper.

The problem is that I cannot find a picture of it anywhere! I dont know if it is either too new or too old, but there isnt a picture of it on their website, or any of the major wedding ones (knot, wedding channel, etc.)

If ANYONE happens to have a picture of this gown (either in an ad or a live picture from a wedding, etc.) which is called 'Ginger' and is just a plain, silk satin strapless mermaid cut gown, please please please FM it to me.

Thanks!!!!

That is beautiful!
First, get a price through Phyllis or someone comparable. I would imagine it may not be worth the stress of getting it made if it is already not too expensive.
Good luck!

you can look at places like Gownfind, etc, but when I looked (I bought a Priscilla of Boston gown) I found that you can pretty much only buy a Priscilla of Boston or Melissa Sweet gown in the stores they have designated on their website.

I believe Melissa Sweet is basically the same as Priscilla of Boston now, in which case, if my experience rings true, you'll either need to buy it at the Priscilla of Boston store, or have one special made by a seamstress, which, to me, just isn't worth the worry and effort.

best of luck!

Ahhh-
In that case- there is a thread floating around, of all girls that have knock offs. Do a search, you can FM them for recommendations!

Re: Melissa Sweet 'Ginger' Gown

I tried it on at Priscilla of Boston and its like $2400. The seamstress I spoke to said she can do it for much less than half of that.

I think since it is so simple and there are a few things I would tweak, it makes sense to get it custom made. I am recently obsessed with a sweetheart neckline, even though I used to think it was awful and reminded me of Barbie clothes, until I tried it on and thought it was the most flattering thing ever. I also would like to change a few things onthe back as well.

What places can you find good knock offs?
