So I drove by 110 yesterday on my way to Estelle's.

They have the sign up saying Melting Pot coming soon. They're definetely doing work on the building. Hopefully it will still be opening in October

We are in the final stages of construction! The beautiful granite tabletops and striking booths have been put in. Our magnificent artwork has started to arrive we have already begun to hire a wonderful staff! We can almost smell the delicious aroma of chocolate fondue filling the restaurant!
We are delighted to share our progress and excitement with the community! The anticipation continues to grow as we are getting a face lift next week and head into the final stages of construction. We look forward to opening our doors and welcoming everyone into our fondue family!

That's where I want my shower too but as soon as mentioned to my mom that they had a special menu which was $96 for 2 people she was like Uh NO, it'll be too expensive. Plus, i've heard that my sister already has a deposit down on someplace for my shower.

the $96 is for appetizer, main course and dessert for both of you...so its about $40something for each person...Also for parties they dont charge same price as menu's all places have separate prices
I don't know if they're going to have a party room...either way my mom said that $40/p was too expensive for the shower so she wouldn't even mention anything to my sister.
Yeah but EVERY restaurant or catering hall charges different prices for parties than their regular menu, it wouldn't be $40 per person, it usually comes out to less...its kinda like when you buy things wholesale, the more you buy the less, same concept for parties, the more ppl when you have a party the less...you cant ever go by menu prices for parties you have to see their catering prices...have you ever seen italian restaurant menu's, they have their regular menu and usually in the back they have a catering menu...it will be like $20 something for app's, entree choices and dessert
Yeah I know exactly what you mean...
All I know is they're keeping my shower very small and my sister is VERY concerned with money.
is she paying for it all by herself?
I'm not really sure how they're doing it. I know she's terrified that she's going to end up paying for the brunt of it. They should be ok between the 4 of them but some can afford less than others.

So funny you guys are talking about this!!! FH love fondue--we've been going to Melting Pot and Magic Pot in NJ for years!!! It's expensive but totally worth it!!! We were just there sunday night for dinner.....lovvvvvve the smores dessert!!!
Oh--and they are opening one in hoboken for girls in the city or NJ too. They will both be open around the same time!

My friend Jenny and I have been STALKING the Melting Pot for some time now...we went while in ATL and it was delicious! I cant wait till it opens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The food is good especially the desserts...I used to work at the one in Baltimore when I was in school and I still cringe thinking of what I used to smell like when I came home at night after working!

We have one out here right by our house and we go all the time! That is my favorite restaurant! We always manage to spend like 200 bucks there though when we go, cuz we always get the wines that go with each course too....mmmmm....now Im starving!

DH pointed it out to me the other day because when we would go to fla. my mother always insisted on going there. My sister had her graduation party there and we love it. We cant wait for it to open.

I know i'm so pathetic. I keep on looking at the website to see whats going on. We've passed by the restaurant twice now on our way to D&B.
I haven't been this excited in a LONG time.
We already have tentative plans to go with friends in Nov if its open. Even though WW doesn't condone this, i'm not going to eat a THING before we go there...and probably not for a day or two after!
