Memorial Ideas
Hi Ladies!I was hoping someone creative might be able to help me. My father passed away on December 5th after a long and heartbreaking battle with cancer. He was my hero, my heart, and the reason I am who I am today.
I want to feel him on my wedding day, and want to honor him in some way. I plan on doing a candle but would like something more which is unique as well.
Please share your ideas... anything. I am hoping with your help we can come up with something amazing.
Thanks ladies and happy planning!
Xo,
Kat

I am so so so sorry for your loss. I heard of people putting a little picture of their fathers in the boquet. or even cutting out a heart shaped peice of fabric from your fathers shirt and sewing it in your wedding dress ( ive also seen people do it with blue shirts so he can be your something blue.)Whatever way you choose to honor your dad he will be there in spirit <3

Could also 'save a seat' for him at one of your tables maybe a picture of him and a candle. Sorry for your loss.

I have a brother who died years ago and I am doing a memorial candle for him. something like this. http://www.etsy.com/listing/98702032/ivory-memorial-candleperfect-for-mothers?ref=usr_faveitems
along with something like this, a picture to wrap on my bouquet. so it's like he'll be with me.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I have seen a small hook with a small photo frame with a picture inside attached to your shoe so your dad literally walks you down the isle.you can also attach a picture of him to your bouquet or wear a piece of jewelry of his!!!

For my mother I am saving a seat for her in my ceremony right in the front. I'm placing One pink rose and maybe a sign that says ' mother of the bride'... I'm also having a table for her.Im having a reader say a poem also to honor her as well. I am a big momma's girl... so i dont care how excessive I am. lol
Another idea maybe to light a candle and have a reader say a poem to honor him.

I've seen people light candles with the persons name on them next to a framed photo. I haven't figure out what I should do for my inlaws. I might have the priest say some then and then light a candle for them during the massI am very sorry for your loss, just know he is always with you.

A bouquet charm oth his picture, a picture charm sewn into the inside of your dress... The saving a seat at the ceremony also is a great thought.

Awwwww :( So sorry for your loss. I remember your FB post on Gina's page about your dad and being photographed. I'm glad you had that moment with him. I agree with the other girls. You can do a memorable candle, BOK charm with a picture of your dad, pictures frames on a table of him and the family.

So sorry for your loss. I love the idea of the shirt piece sewed onto your dress. My friend's grandfather was highly honored in the marines, and she wore his metals on the inside of her dress.

Re: Memorial Ideas
sooo sorry for your loss.I was very close to my dad so I want to honor him as well...he deserves it!
I already got my bouquet charm made from Etsy.
I will also display a picture of him in the lobby with all my other pics.
My dad and I always said we would dance to Unforgettable on my wedding day.(This was our song) I am going to have a montage playing of pics of my dad and I while I dance with my mom to the song.
