Memorial Table

Memorial Table

I'm having a memorial table at my wedding and was wondering if anyone had a nice poem to put on the table? I was thinking of typing it up myself on nice paper and putting it in a frame.

Thanks!

Re: Memorial Table

We thought of you with love today,

but that is nothing new

We thought of you yesterday,

and the days before that too

You're forever in our hearts and minds

and though you can't be here today

we've saved a chair for you.

OR

If roses grow in Heaven,

Lord please pick a bunch for me,

Place them in my mother's arms

And tell her they are from me.

Tell her I love her and I miss her,

And when she turns to smile,

Place a kiss upon her cheek.

And hold her for awhile.

Because remembering her is easy,

I do it every day.

But there's an ache in my heart

That will never go away.

OR
Though your smile is gone forever,

and your hands we cannot touch,

Still we have so many memories,

Of the ones we loved so much

Your memory is our keepsake,

With which we'll never part,

God has you in his keeping, We have you in our hearts

although we cannot see you

We know that you are here

Smiling down, watching over us

As we say 'I DO'

forever in our hearts

Forever in our lives

and so we say our vows

In loving memory of you

Those poems are beautiful!

If you're doing a memorial candle or table, are you doing it in the reception room, or outside near other family photos or place cards?

I'm not quite sure where we are going to put the table yet. I've seen weddings where they set the table next to cake table in the reception room, which I thought would be nice.
