Where can I get it? Did anyone make one? (if so what goes on it)' Who lights it? and When? (before ceremony or during)
Does anyone have a picture of it?
Thanks

Re: Memory Candle
We are having one. We lost quite a few people so we are having 1 candle with all the names, we're not annoucning it, so just FH and I will know it's there. It will be up front by the altar. There was a thread w/a few links. I'll look for it for you.

Re: Memory Candle
Thanks Liz. Are you guys lighting it or will it be lit before you walk down the aisle (by the priest or Len?)
Also, do you plan to take it with you? I would like to take it to reception and have it on our table.
also, where did you get yours?

Re: Memory Candle
Hmmm, I think I'll have the Pastor light it before the Procession. And I'm definitely taking it with us. I like your idea of putting it on our table.
I bumped up the other thread for you

Re: Memory Candle
I didnt get it yet But I will either get it at one of those links on the other thread. Or I may go to one of those Christian supplies stores. My Pastor is going to tell me where to find them.

Re: Memory Candle
Marcella, how would I make one? That's a cute idea, and it may even be more meaningful to us

Re: Memory Candle
How would you write the names on it w/o it looking homemade? How many names can you normally fit?

Re: Memory Candle
What you could do is the following:
buy the candl, whatever size you want..
then using word or whatever, write up whatever you want the candles to say and print it out on cardstock.
Then you take pins with the balls on ends of them and pin the cardstock onto the candle..

Re: Memory Candle
Marcella, will the cardstock be able to lay flat w/the candle? Like go w/the curves?

And stay there all day?

Re: Memory Candle
yes, because it would be pinned.. you could also burn the end of another candle and wax it on as well..

Re: Memory Candle
Ooh, I like the waxing it on idea too, just to reinforce it.
this may sound weird, but could I also take a GLUE STICK and glue it on?
Sorry for all the questons

Re: Memory Candle
When I say cardstock, I don't mean HEAVY cardstock.. use your judgment.. unless you can print it out on nice paper, you don't want anything too too thin you know?
I'm sure you can, but be careful cause some of the glues are actually really watering and can make the paper wrinkle..

Re: Memory Candle
Oh, you're right, it does wrinkle sometimes. I'm going to make a project out of this. I'll go buy a couple of candles this weekend. Maybe i can make my Unity Candles too then. I haven't found even 1 that I want.

Re: Memory Candle
I bought the actual holder but don't have the candles yet.. I plan on making my own memory candle.. I'll probably use either nice really nice bond paper or really nice paper not regular printer paper though..

Re: Memory Candle
Me too. I got a beautiful silver plated holder off EBAY. So I want the candle to be simple, but pretty.
