I feel so bad because now FH feels SO BAD!! He's beating himself up over the fact that 'he can't give us our big wedding' WHO CARES!! I have you.. We can have a small wedding, that means just as much.. FI's family is huge, everyone has a huge wedding, but we're not everyone!! Oh goodness.. We need to seek therapy.. I have you all, but he doesn't have anyone.. I'll tell him to come here!!!

I'm glad you're trying to work through this. I would hate for you to just nix the wedding and not have your special day. The tough part will be getting out of some contracts, but it's been done before and you can do it. Try to see about cutting down on the flowers alot. You can even try doing candles and silk flowers as your centerpieces. Will save you A LOT.

Do you have a Big Lots in NY? I was there with my mom yesterday and they had these really cool floating candle centerpieces for 10 each!!! They looked really expensive. Add colored water and you wouldn't even need flowers. Just a thought....
