Menu Meeting with RH on Thursday

So I have my meeting with the Fox Hollow Thursday night to choose the menu, pick linens, etc.

Any suggestions of questions I should ask at this meeting?

Here is what I have so far:

-Where do escort cards go?
-How many people per table?
-Where does the card box go?
-Favors on table or will they bring them out?
-Menu at each setting? Personalized?
-What do the chair covers look like that we have included?
-Can we see the linen in the room?
-Can we schedule a cake tasting? Where? Who to contact?
-What holds the table numbers? Can we use the frame/stand if we make our own table numbers?
-After party at bar? Will they keep it open?

I have my meeting on the 7th at the FOX HOLLOW I think you covered a lot of good questions!!! I'm going to try to think of more but you asked a lot I totally forgot about.

Im meeting with them next Wednesday! I've asked about the bar before, they told me no, but let us know if they tell you anything different.

I think Jen mentioned to me they provided candles if we wanted them (didn't though)

Great questions! the bakery is Francescas in Hicksville you should call them for a free cake tasting and consult (love!)

One thing I forgot and was annoyed I didn't ask was what kind of beer they serve/can offer. -working it out now though

I met with Jen last Friday and never thought to ask a few of those questions. However, she'll answer anything you give her. I asked about changing the chair cover to a sash (at no additional cost) and she said no (she has to order the sashes, the covers are on site).

I was just asking FH to come up with a list of questions! We just got the letter in the mail and scheduled our appt for 6/14! Awesome list of questions by the way!

One to add- if you are going to do a signature drink, make sure the bartender will have the ingredients and know how to make it!

Where do escort cards go? on a 6ft rectangular table either outside on the patio or inside under the bell tower (depending on the wind). They have easels if you want to do a board/poster.

How many people per table? 10-12 is ideal, don't do less than 8, no more than 14 (we have oval tables)

Where does the card box go? on a table behind the sweetheart table (in line with the cake)

Favors on tables or will they bring them out? Favors either go on the tables or they'll set up a separate favor table

Menu at each setting-? yes, but not personalized

What do the chair covers look like? She showed us pictures, and we aren't going to use them. We thinking the chairs are prettier by themselves. I might have done the covers if we were having a winter wedding, but it just looked too heavy for summer.

Can we see the linens in the room-- no, there was a wedding going on

Can we schedule a cake tasting? Yes--she gave us Francesco Bakery Information 516-931-6821 (I'm going to call her when I decide on the flavors)

What holds the table numbers? Can we use them if we make our own? 4' x 6' silver and gold frames. (She told us to call 2 weeks before if we want to use them just to make sure they have the 4x6' available--each BM has their own table numbers, so she wants to make sure she has the right size for whatever we make)

After party at bar? They will not keep the restaurant open, but you can have an after party. It's $2,000 flat rate for 1 more hour open bar and cheese platers

Provide candles for guest tables? No--we need to get them from the florist

What kind of beer do they serve? Bud, Bud Light, Heinken, and O'Douls (they can order a different kind of import if you prefer)

Do they have Patron? yes

Pictures in case of rain? Yes. In the reception room before the party, in the entrance area, at the hotel, etc.

Where to put pics of parents and grandparents? They can set up a table behind us during the reception or they can put them on the place card table
