Hi Everyone, I tried on several gown shapes last week and realized mermaid is by far the best look for me. Is anyone out there wearing a mermaid, could you post your pics? I feel like i'm the only one who likes this cut.
You must have great hips/thighs if you like that style of dress! Lucky for you I could never wear that!

Definetely do not have great hips & thighs, just really tall (5'9') i think that is why it works. It actually made me look 10lbs thinner than any other cut.

Jola had a Maggie Sottero dress like that. She had beautiful pictures over the on the review board.

I tried on one of these dresses at Kleinfelds that everyone loved on me....I just felt too uncomfortable b/c I am VERY curvy- it was a little too va va va voom...
I think they are beautiful though and with your height ( I am a good 2 inches shorter than you) it probably does look gorgeous
I also like the idea of going with a less popular shape- if that's what works, go with it. Please post more pics!!!!

I did...but don't have pics!! I am 5'7' and we found that this style also looked really good on me! I feel it's a little different than your average gown but when I put it on it was SO right for me....

I LOVE that style...i am just too short :( I am going with a sort of straight/sheath dress with a little flair.

The first one I posted with the strings around the waist is by impressions (its only $600)! The other one is by Demetrios. Unfortunately I got stuck at work today until 8pm, hopefully I will be able to go next week and try some on.
